* First off I would like to apologize, We sent wrong numbered CA2 title to customers. We would also like to apologize for the domestic and international pre-order times being different for our Lone Survivor release.

* Due to this, the first 100 orders will be handed out numerically but with Full slip having odd numbers and Lenticular even numbers, Amaray keep case version will also have even numbers.

+ Free lenticular magnet will be given as free gift to first 100 customers who pre-order three or more edition (doesn't have to be different editions.) of Lone Survivor.

what a joke! The should give the free lenticular to the first 100 customers of CA2 + the first 100 copies of lone survivor to people who ordered CA2 (also the first 100)
Nova is stepping from one fail to another...imo

I hope they will get back on track as their launch was a disaster and us collector as we know a thing or 2 about buying from companies and collecting, they should know we are not random customers. I'm not getting up for this pre-order, my sleep is more important than probably server issue again if not for that whole pre-order already done for Domestic customers who already purchased their copies of Lone Survivor. even though same amount is split, this wasn't intentional and it shows that they are still making mistakes. They were not ready to start their online store. It's a great thing to have 2 different time zone for pre orders for international(us) and domestic as it alleviate the server traffic, but again this wasn't planned, it appears to be a mistake from their facebook apologies in regards to the pre order of Domestic Lone Survivor pre orders. I just hope when it will come to the titles I am interested in, they will have gotten their act together. But again we learn from our mistakes, maybe I'm too harsh on them.

Two words which are used too loosely on this forum are 'grail' and 'fail'. They both have the word ail in. 'Ail' - to cause pain, uneasiness, or trouble to something or someone.

Let's keep things in perspective here. Nova have not created a grail (yet). Grails become so after longer time periods than weeks or months. True grails are recognised after years once the 'dust' has settled from all the hype and panic.

And more importantly, Nova have not failed (yet). They have provided us with arguably the best version(s) of CA2 that we are likely to see released at any time. They are a start up retailer who now have a fully functioning site which customers can order from. They have taken on the task of catering to one of the fussiest niche of customers you are likely to find and, as expected, there have been a couple of teething problems. This is just life and life goes on. No-one has failed.

By getting an order in early and not getting a low number it isn't the end of the world. Nova have acknowledged that they could have done better and have made a commitment to do so on their next release. They recognised the issue and are looking to rectify it. As any good business does. And any good person too. People need to stop assuming that they are owed something all the time and just take a step back to assess the bigger picture once in a while. It is a lot clearer and makes more sense when you look at things from a different angle every so often.

I usually go for lentis, but this time it will be the full slip. I was not blown away with the lenti video and since its only card instead of a lentslip...its out of my book.

To anyone considering ordering the amaray keep case and slipping the steelbook inside, I asked NM and this is their reply:

Hello,

The amaray keep size same as the steelbook size.

The thickness is 14mm.

so, The lenticular and full-slip size is larger than amaray keep size.

Thanks

i already made my decision. like @Actarus, not a big fan of war movies (unless it's clearly anti-war like full metal jacket, apocalypse now, deer hunter, platoon
...which i cannot see here but i dont want to start a political discussion)
, so i will pass on this one. i can't afford buying movies just to keep on with a complete collection. i will go for "drive" and maybe "american hustle" though.

@zoneism yes the word "fail" is used in an inflationary way here sometimes, but i'm still shaking my head in disbelief about how often they have to apologize to their customers from the very beginning, for almost every step they took so far (launching of the website, pre-orders for CA2, payment problems, enticing us with low numbers but then not fulfilling it...). i really hope they get their act together soon. right now they seem more like a bunch of amateurs who try to be as cool as plain archive, kimchi or blufans, but struggle hard to build some positive reputation.

LOL, so I have to order 3! copies of their 4000 print run so I can get a free magnet. WOW, what an amazing apology from Nova. That apology should have been for anyone ordering ANY non-lenti edition. The lenti does look nice, but its just not worth getting more than 1 edition for me since its not a lenti slip. I think this is a case of, "Whoops, we accidentally made an extra 100 magnets. We could throw them away I guess. No, wait! We can pretend we are trying to make up for the server fiasco AND help sell this double size print run at the same time."
You seriously need to just give it up bro. Complaining over here about this and on the other forum about prices. Nova could just fold up shop and then everyone would be out of some cool SB's. People seriously need to drop the entitlement. You aren't owed anything.

I'm on the fence with this one. Already got a couple of different editions from other spots - might be time to be a bit selective here, considering the amount of funds I spent on Plain Archive. :ohno:

Argh, with some many releases, it's tough that I likely have to pass on what appears to be a quality edition! :bag:

@apsmith21 If anything, just go with the full slip, that's what I'm doing and I find it to be the best option :)

I think the problem for me is now that my collection is so large, after years of collecting, I'm out of space to properly display my newest acquisition - and it's just another one for storage, if I'm not going to open it... :writing:

I think I'm talking myself out of this one. lol

Thanks for the thoughts though!

Lol yeah, space is always an issue with large collections.
