I thought everyone must have been mistaken - no way a major retailer has such a stupid system. I thought that until I opened my Target package this afternoon and saw the blue amaray case.

Early release at mine!!

I should have brought my phone in with me, but my Target had 4 of these in hard cases in the back section.. I scanned it with the price check machine but nothing rang up! Tried to purchase this up front and it didn't scan.. I showed them the price in the Ad and they said they couldn't sell it to me and they took it away. I walked back the electronics section again grabbed another one, but this time.......wait for it........ I checked out in the electronics section, tried the same move, and it worked!!! so I'm an owner of a MINTY FRESH copy

Then someone better tell the Ralphs Manager by my house to stop selling regular blu ray copies of new releases on Sundays before release day

Agree I've gotten maybe 3 this year from various places, one being Target. The employees stocking the shelves are not getting paid enough to care so its not hard to see why this happens.
Its kinda like when I was 16 working at Wendys and when my friends would come up to the counter I could when managers were in back/break I would say tell them to just order two regular burgers and they magically left with there 2 regular burgers, 2 frys, couple bacon cheese burgurs, basically up till the to go bag would fit. Well the metaphor could be better I suppose

As usual, Target has no clue about this release. None are out and they have no idea about the exclusive. I despise dealing with Target. 20 minutes in and still no copy.

I noticed that the picture is showing the steelbook for $24.99, I thought the ad was showing $19.99 for the steelbook?

I think I may boycott all future Target exclusives unless it's something I really really need.

After 30 minutes in the store, and a couple trips in the back, they told me they didn't have the steelbooks and I walked out empty handed. The manager was looking at the ad on his cell phone and said he didn't see the steelbook. I zoomed in on his phone and showed him where it said steelbook.

They just have no clue whatsoever.

And on a separate note, no Futurepak's out either. Target = joke

Not only did they send the amaray instead of the steelbook, but they charged me $25.99, which is what I pre-ordered it at. I guess the Target pre-order guarantee is:

"Pre-order and you're guaranteed to get the wrong product, at a significantly higher price than those who wait to pick it up on the release date!"
