Just got my invoice know to I must say it is a difficult time at the moment.

Yeah same here. Not sure I'll have the funds for this on the 23rd. Was sure it would have been left until after Christmas at this stage :(

Yeah it is a hard time at the moment.
:(
I had to use the dreaded credit card.

Me too I feel you guys  ...still some releases coming up that I have to take care of :blackeye: just Hope the new year will give us a small break :dunno:

...but very Happy that this seem to finally gonna be released... been so looking forward to this Release, I just love the design and color used on the ''WEA Fullslip''. I am sure in Hands it'll be even nicer

oh definitely well said my friend @Actarus good luck on your future GB orders.

if it was only for GBs but for me it is mostly pre-orders, it's bittersweet, it's hard right now but when they finally get released it'll be nice to have them in hands... but I just hope for all of us that the start of the year will give us a break...

hope for you as well you can catch up a bit

Well said @Actarus this is what it's all about collecting and I love this hobby.

I know me too, once you get the Bug, the movie world becomes so Different...we are very lucky that we can have so many amazing looking releases, it's nice to Open them and to enjoy what we have collected...but sometimes there too much all at once and other times it's very calm...

as long as we don't miss out on ''our preeccciiiioooous'' and we can eat, we're alright

Does anyone know what was the blu-ray Disk Issue when it was firstly released in Czech Republic at the beginning of 2013 ? There was an issue with the Disk itself and for this release film arena has had new Disk made for the FAC release... I know thare was an issue with the first release but can't remember what it was...if it was wrongly cropped or frame rate ??? anyone ? (n)

Blu-ray's picture quality was bad (almost one third of the frame cropped).

The main reason why there is a release of Looper in Czech Republic now is that the current blu-ray's picture quality is quite bad (almost one third of the frame cropped).

So there will be a new release with better picture quality, hence this is a chance for FilmArena to make it into a steelbook edition.

Even tho there are already plenty of nice releases I am still very happy this will get a proper fullslip+extras treatment.

Its in Czech but you can see the screenshots here.

That is what I just found early in the thread... so the Czech one is the bottom picture which is closer to 16:9 ? Original North America Release is 2.35:1

Cropped picture looks disgrace

so if I Understand Correctly from reading the Article in Czech in regards to the explanation of the issue is that it wasn't formatted to be 16:9,
but instead the picture was cropped from 2.35:1 aspect Ratio to look like 16:9(1.78: 1) ?

is that what I am suppose to get from it ?

QHOTE from the Article;

All the more pity that both titles were published in the Czech Republic (unlike the US) at trimming to 1.78: 1, which is due to the previously filmed material in a ratio of 2.40: 1 means that as viewers we come to the Czech disc more or less one third of the image.

When looking at the comparative screenshots is evident that this is not just cosmetic changes. Cropping (as well as among wolves, Kick-Ass and Women in Black) seriously affects the original composition and degrades the image not only in terms of information, but also from an aesthetic standpoint.
