Word of caution from an UK HDN Member about HMV (thanks VRob98)

People should just be aware of 2 things:

1) If you receive a damaged or faulty copy from now on, you will not receive a replacement or refund

2) If they charge your card and are then unable to fulfil your order, you will not be refunded.

The way a company operates whilst under administration is quite different to how it operates normally, and certain consumer rights are suspended. If anything goes wrong you would have to apply to the administrator or claim against your credit card issuer.

I'd encourage everyone who has orders in with HMV to consider the above, as I'd hate to see anyone here lose their money in all of this.

It seems so, all Looper steelbooks are now on Amazon and maybe other (local) stores will follow. Companies sign big contracts to get exclusive stuff.

With this current unstable situation; no time for any risks.

All remaining stocks will be freezed noting gets in or out. If E1/suppliers had deliver to HMV they don't make any money on it.

Simple is that in my opinion.

i reckon the price will drop on this.
no way will it sell out, not at £21 and with no inside artwork.
im guessing it will get as low as £14 by april.
and if not, i will pick it up off ebay or a forum.
what i wont do is pay over the odds for an under par steelbook.

I suppose it's still possible HMV could have this in store on the day for £18, however unlikely that seems at the moment. There's been no confirmation to suggest otherwise yet has there?

I don't like how HMV is handling this. I understand that they have problems and that it is not easy for them right now. But they have so many customers who don't know what to do and what will happen. Also the release for this one is very close..

You're right. Yes, they have problems but I'm sure they still have staff working at their head offices who could be answering some of these questions. They could put together a FAQ e-mail and send that out to everyone with an account. At least to put some minds at rest.

I don't know if anyone has spotted this, but HMV.com is still available via the iPhone app, and clearly shows Skyfall and Looper available to pre-order.

the iphone app doesnt work anymore, and it wont even let me sign into my account cant remember how many steels i have pre ordered with them aswell, i only care and hope to receive skyfall, all the others dont bother me thatt much

How do we know there is NO inside artwork??
