Word of caution from an UK HDN Member about HMV (thanks VRob98)

People should just be aware of 2 things:

1) If you receive a damaged or faulty copy from now on, you will not receive a replacement or refund

2) If they charge your card and are then unable to fulfil your order, you will not be refunded.

The way a company operates whilst under administration is quite different to how it operates normally, and certain consumer rights are suspended. If anything goes wrong you would have to apply to the administrator or claim against your credit card issuer.

I'd encourage everyone who has orders in with HMV to consider the above, as I'd hate to see anyone here lose their money in all of this.

Not sure, but am I the only one thinking that this is probably the ugliest steelbook of all time? Watched the movie the other day and quite liked it (still much prefer 12 Monkeys when it comes to Bruce Wilis time travel movies though), but this steelbook is just awful!

I think I'd rather get the FS Spiderman steels than this!!!

The Futureshop front with the HMV spine and back would have been great IMO.

I just don't like the title twice on the spine of Canadian releases.

I don't know about ugliest of all time, but it's pretty hideous. It's amateurish, it's far too cluttered, the likenesses to at least 2 of the actors are way off (is that really supposed to be Emily Blunt??), and a stylish and smart movie like this just doesn't suit the cartoony GTA-style look. It really reminds me of the horrible stuff I used to knock out when I first discovered how to do montage in Photoshop. I'm just amazed the studio is allowing this when they already have some fantastic professional quality promo art to draw on. What a shame.

On the positive side - the back is nice.

It's ok, but I still think the mock ups Zesty did for us a far superior!!
They should get Zesty to do the artwork in my opinion, then it would defiantly
Be something special.

I keep switching between really liking this and really disliking it. I guess I won't make up my mind completely until I have it in hand... after all, that's the only way you can properly judge something IMO.

Having a multi region Oppo Blu Ray Player it doesn't matter what region any of these films are in for me !! In my Home Cinema I could not be without it, makes life much easier when collecting Steels from around the world.


Maybe in hand this might look way better have to wait and see I guess!

Oppo's are expensive as hell.

I know paid £1000 for my oppo 95 multi region.

It's worth it though as the picture and sound quality from them via my Sunfire Amp is astounding. My main passion is my custom built home cinema room and Steelbooks of course. lol

No kids so money goes on my own little pleasures.
