Word of caution from an UK HDN Member about HMV (thanks VRob98)

People should just be aware of 2 things:

1) If you receive a damaged or faulty copy from now on, you will not receive a replacement or refund

2) If they charge your card and are then unable to fulfil your order, you will not be refunded.

The way a company operates whilst under administration is quite different to how it operates normally, and certain consumer rights are suspended. If anything goes wrong you would have to apply to the administrator or claim against your credit card issuer.

I'd encourage everyone who has orders in with HMV to consider the above, as I'd hate to see anyone here lose their money in all of this.

when ever i order from hmv it's always the cardboard boxes never known anything to come in a jiffy bag from them.

All of mine have come in boxes lately so I guess they aren't using jiffy bags now

That's what I thought when I finally got boxes with The Avengers. Then I ordered something else and they sent in jiffy bags and they were all bent.

I like amazon europe packaging for steelbook blu-ray, one box per steelbook. Very neat. I keep some of the boxes for later use.

I just ordered Expendables 2 from HMV and it was in their cardboard box. Mint condish!

I will pick this version over FS release any day, not fancy of lenticular steelbook. just my opinion.
