Word of caution from an UK HDN Member about HMV (thanks VRob98)

HMV now in administration said:
People should just be aware of 2 things:

1) If you receive a damaged or faulty copy from now on, you will not receive a replacement or refund

2) If they charge your card and are then unable to fulfil your order, you will not be refunded.

The way a company operates whilst under administration is quite different to how it operates normally, and certain consumer rights are suspended. If anything goes wrong you would have to apply to the administrator or claim against your credit card issuer.

I'd encourage everyone who has orders in with HMV to consider the above, as I'd hate to see anyone here lose their money in all of this.

Available to pre-order right now.
Release date: January 28, 2013
Purchase Link: Amazon.co.uk
Note: No inside art (see post #443)

Excellent news!

Could anyone confirm or deny if this is a good film and which film it may be simar to ? I don't wanna blind buy if its pooh :hilarious:

:hilarious: Why comment in the Steelbook section then ??

Because I like steelbooks, and if a movie I want to purchase is in a steelbook I'll buy that version. Conversely, if I don't want the movie the fact that it comes in a bit of metal won't make me buy it. I was on the fence about this but then though 'if I did buy it it would just be because of the case' and changed my mind.

It's a great film ONCE. After the initial viewing it's hard to rewatch and the whole concept starts to fall apart at the seams.

i like bruce willis but as u find with most ageing actors their careers start to decline and they don't get parts in movies they would of had in their younger days, red is probably his best movie in the last few years but isn't really a bruce willis movie as he's just one of the main characters in it, die hard 4 didn't even feel like die hard anymore and wasn't very gd i imagine the 5th would look and feel much the same, recently got moonrise kingdom i'm hoping that's as gd as the reviews and also looking forward to watching looper.

lol i dont hate willis, he just seems more and more boring with each new role i see of his. But that's understandable considering how he's not really an actor, he's just bruce willis in x situation, sorta like tom Cruise.

Except of course, Cruise does, at least, make genuine attempts at playing someone other than himself :D

...and as for either Expendables films:

No inside artwork = most definitely no sale :D

Perhaps that's because those damn studios are so focused on getting a PG-13 rating instead of making movies the way they're supposed to be :(

Can we get back on topic please...
I can't wait for this steelbook! :D
Yes, you're right. Sorry!
Can't wait for the artwork being revealed. I hope it's totally different from the others and has the playing card design.

I can't wait for this one either. This was one of my favorite movies of the year, but I do agree with what was already mentioned...this is not a movie that can be viewed repeatedly.

Honestly, that really sucks if it's true. Crappy HMV....

They give an AWFUL movie like Dark Shadows the full treatment and they aren't going to bother with this? A great movie and a fantastic front and rear artwork but no inside art, it's almost as if they are saying "you can have one or the other but not both".

What a let down.
