Looks amazing
spot gloss whatever. The last pics make this release very different. No border and that orange does not look like matte one bit. I think they have cheated everyone here. Literally no border on these at all. The orange might be a more metallic matte which does seem to work on this release and the spot gloss on the middle image which is fine but they look so different in the newer pic

cheers. Yeah sorry but this is disappointing now. That matte orange is so different to the original pics. Shame. Border makes it look even worse. I love embossing but the plain orange space don’t suit the border at all. Also the reviewers spine is cut a little too much to the right.

well I’ve gone from loving it to hating it In seconds because they have changed the design of the finish (Metallic orange matte to plain muted matte/ embossing and border) without updating anyone. Poor Move

It was a mistake me saying it looks matte now, I knew the orange was matte but the original picture which toc have shared in many forms make it look like a shiny metallic matte (which works with this release imo) but now the orange matte look more plain and muted and they have embossed the middle instead of the original description of debossing (which again can clearly see in the original pics they shared) hence the border. All the original photos they have shared show no border. Plus there’s no art on the back.
I’ve given ToC a lot of sh!t because blade runner and WW look awful imo. Mainly the design (blade runner finish is awesome) but I was really looking forward to this. They won me over with this but now I’m just disappointed they lied in the pics

Yep agree with you I was expecting a embossed center from a flat surface as what was shown before. It's achievable and makes it stand out from the crowd. Adding in a embossed plate to then debossed center is a total wasted opportunity. Exactly what others have done. This could have been great in execution, now it's something lesser that others are willing to overlook.
I too find it odd that all marketing material showcasing packaging and components never was embossed. What changed to get us to this point now. Does feel misleading IMO.
If I had exclusive steelbook company, in cases like these I would include a cool sticker one can cover those rating logos with.
Flloydo's semi-meltdown is quite justified actually. They've changed a lot of it just before release.
