When I made payment, I was expecting to pay in Chinese Yuan. Total said 388¥ which equals £43.5 at today's currency exchange rate. But when I progressed to payment stage, total was in USD ($61.3/£47.5 total). Is this normal?

I remember buying San Andreas and Terminator direct and thought the conversion was via CNY opposed to USD.

Checked my bank today and the payment did go out in CNY. I don't understand though... at ordering stage, total was 388¥ including shipping, but I have been charged total> 422¥ (£47.64). Why the extra 34¥? @wxlinkswd

Same here, on HDzeta store 378¥ Total, and card is charged with CNY 411,47 (1 EUR = 7.3978635 CNY) , total 55,62EUR

Mine too 388¥ was just $57 US when I put the order but the charge was $61.. I've noticed the higher rate before with my previous direct orders..

But I think it´s just all realated with exchange rate....

Yeah well, more than 4 GBP is pretty high just for the exchange differences , I really don´t know what exchange rate they use, but either this or some kind of TAX, because with higher price is higher difference. In my LA Confidential case is difference 2,21 EUR and with Mad Max it is ~5,78 EUR....ugh wait, it really is pretty big difference ....it looks more like some kind of TAX or something....I hope @wxlinkswd will enlight this issue.

it's a separate item on my credit card statement next to the £47.64. It's the usual non-sterling transaction fee for buying in another currency. Normally I choose to pay in the native currency and eat the fee as you don't get screwed on the merchant's exchange rate so it works out better. Not that we were given a choice in this case...
