Think I'm in the minority of people hoping this is the same as Spain's release!

Part of me genuinely wouldn't be surprised if a silver, titleless, pictured spine steel turns up on monday though! :ohno: :hilarious:

Imagine if it was the same? If the Spanish one is commanding €70 and upwards now, what would this be worth with the 3D disc included?

Or, the price of the Spanish one could drop significantly once eBay is flooded with Zavvi ones (IF they are indeed identical)

If this is the Spanish version,,,,i will be taking the case up with Zavvi...RE. INCORRECT ADVERTISING AND NOT INFORMING CUSTOMERS OF CHANGE IN ARTWORK!! ....when i get nowhere and fobbed off by Zavvi customer service because they think they can do what they want!.....i will THEN contact Trading Standards!!!:writing::writing::writing:

ZAVVI.....BE WARNED!!!!!!:angry::angry::angry::angry:

Why is everyone getting so worked up about if this is the spanish version or not? It is going to be great either way. :) Can't wait. All the maleficent covers have all looked great. Looking forward to being surprised.

I've tried contacting them several ways now and they are just ignoring me, asking for final art confirmation.

The fact that they have kept the photo up this long 'selling' that image to the customers - to give the customers anything but what is pictured would be almost fraudulent. As mentioned before Zavvi has never kept a picture up this long only for it to be different upon release. They have to know, and if they don't 'that' picture should've been removed and made #TBC or #TBD along time ago! :stop:

I have a question. Why do we think the artwork might change anyway? There isn't a "artwork not final" message or anything of that sort mentioned. I was just wondering why some might think that the artwork might be the Spanish one and not the one shown on their website. I'm happy with either artwork tbh, I just didn't know why some were assuming it could be the Spanish art.

If it's white, great! If it's black fine. But just let me know so I know in advance which one not to pay for! Some international Maleficent fan is going to go out a pay that £€$70 for the black edition who already has this one ordered and because the picture and ad on Zavvi doesn't state anything about "subject to change" might be in legal right to sue Zavvi for cost of the Spain edition + shipping and for false advertising! Even if you buy a Ferrari, and they give you a even better car instead, you still have been unlawful misled into a transaction and that's not how you do business! At this point, this has to be the white edition or a lot of people will have something say or something to do. :bored:

Well it does still say on Zavvi's website that this artwork is subject to change so I guess they are covered if this is identical to the Spain version. My guess is that they will be one and the same SB. Seems strange Disney would produce a very limited SB for the Spanish market with the English title on it and then hide it with the j-card containing the title in Spanish. Still, would love for this to be as shown in the OP.

Interestingly, only 20 minutes ago Zavvi had "artwork subject to change" on their page for this, I read it several times in the last hour and now it has gone.

Theres also a comment on their site that Zavvi have allowed to be published stating that this hasn't sold out, Zavvi only released a small portion of the print run and that it will be back on sale again.

I can't see 'subject to change' anywhere but my thoughts all alone was that the Spanish editions design and treatment is to stellar not to be shared. But the other thing is that Zavvi always gets exclusive art when it comes to Disney and 100% delivers on what is advertised outside of finish. How long has that pic been up, if Spain got the pic and its true art then why wouldn't the UK. I don't know but I wanna know! #Bad

@Bluprint Sorry, can't get a screen shot of the page but if you look at the bottom of the Description/Product Details/Delivery & Returns tabs on the website for this product it still states "*Artwork subject to change" (for me anyway). It would be nice to know exactly what we are going to get but it'll be nice to actually find out once someone has this in hand and posts pictures here.

That right there is what I've got the biggest problem with. I can understand art being changed. But why are Zavvi doing this? And they're doing it with nearly every release. Why hold back copies and have something show as 'sold out' for months? They've obviously done this with Army Of Darkness. It's really annoying and the reason why I only preorder Marvel and Disney movies with them anymore.

There's something very sly in the way they practice this IMO.

That statement is not from zavvi

Its a customer posting a review and his/her opinion which I find a bit suspect the posters review comment its not from zavvi that statement
