She's great in this film - i've seen both versions, cut and uncut, and both are good films.

As far as I remember, the cuts were only made where the young boy, Renato dreams of Malena (dreams are sexually explicit, they include a fair amount of nudity).

It's best to get the original Italian release. If you can get it

Monica Bellucci was indeed wonderful playing Malena's character. It's a very good film, highly recommendable.

I just got the Hong Kong Region A version which is also the cut version. It seems to have the same excellent video/audio quality as this UK version.

I ordered the uncut version from yesasia.

A tad pricey but its the only way to get the proper director's cut.

Beautifully packaged with an empty amaray case packaged along with it.
