Bad really? I thought it was good, i've never liked Superman and all the older films but this got my attention. The steelbook could have done with gloss but at £17.99 im not complaining.

Watched it last night. Yes it's that bad. I've already sold my copy. Bad steelbook, bad film. :shoot:

well just watched it and goto completely disagree tbh, i think where people are jumping on the bad wagon is another remake but in another directors tongue and percepetion it was never going to be bang on the same as the orginal but that doesn't make it a bad film for my two pence worth.
question i asked my self did i enjoy it answer yes.
is it a bad poorly made or very poorly scripted answer imo no not really.
sometimes just have to be a bit open minded to these things.

I remember when j j abrams got hold of the star trek franchise i was quite horrified with the idea i actually enjoyed star trek in 2009 then watched star trek into darkness have to say became my favourite trek film of all time but some people slated that!
all goto remember different strokes for different folks

only thing i did have too do with this one was a firmware update for the blu-ray player and mine has never not played one till now machine has always been kept upto date.

anyway your loss has been someones gain.

basil :D

Journey to Discovery Ultraviolet Download some parts its just the movie playing
But most of it is a making of documentary with 2-3 windows showing info with interviews and video footage

Note best not to watch Journey to Discovery until you watched the movie itself first or it might spoil your enjoyment if you not seen the movie yet

Got this yesterday for 17.99 instore in hmv. It has a good quality matte finish and the content included for the price is great. Hmv are going the right way about this by undercutting or matching online prices.

I've gone for a copy of the glossy U.S. Walmart version. Does that release have the documentary on an actual Blu Ray disc or do you have to download it also?

USA Blu-ray
Journey to Discovery : Creating Man of Steel is on a Blu-ray
Disc Two
1)Journey of Discovery: Creating Man of Steel (1080p; 2:54:05)

2)Planet Krypton (1080p; 17:18).

No download involved with USA Release

The Ultraviolet Download Journey to Discovery : Creating Man of Steel is UK/Ireland Exclusive
Note this is the same as the USA Version except its in SD not HD
But i have found it useful to be able to watch this on my TV and iPhone
Even though its SD picture Quality is very good
But Remember to only watch this after you seen the film as it contains lots of spoilers
Not a good idea to watch before seeing the film itself

I would preferred if it was separate Blu-Ray for UK/Ireland but they decided to have it for UK/Ireland as a Ultraviolet Download

Note with UK/Ireland release you don't get Planet Krypton featurette

From what I heard you not missing anything as reviews say Planet Krypton featurette is useless

Am I right in thinking this won't have the awesome John Williams theme or that style of opening credits (That would be neat in 3D)?

Hang on, this film is in 3D?? Oh hang on of course it is, its plastered all over the front! Such a shame because a decent steel could have saved an average film IMO. The end section ruined it for me.
