Man Of Steel has been announced for the UK. Artwork is as the German Edition.
It will be 2D/3D BD.
Pre order goes live this coming Friday (23rd) and release date is 2nd December.
Looks to be a store wide release.

Get the US collectors edition buddy. That's what I've done!

It's not doing it for me. It is bland, looks like a big metal lunch box there is nothing that makes it pop really. The batman cowl was cool the CE for this is just generic. They should have done something like him fighting Zod.

yeah agree the CE isnt nearly as cool as i thought, now i saw the vid. Its waaaaay oversized and for what? a few discs, a couple of funny shaped cards and a ton of foam -_______-

they shulda like made it an ultimate superman collection, and put all the old films in there to justify the size of the tin.

After seeing the pics of this from other countries I've just cancelled my preorder with Zavvi.

I just can't justify spending €30 on it. No premium finish, plain back, front cover overloaded with text......

If it drops in price some time down the line so be it. If not, then so be it also!

Such a rip off.

I think the German Media Mark't version is the nicest anyway.

Its on both UK and USA
UK has it only as part of the Ultraviolet Copy

Rest of the extras
All-Out Action 25 min
Krypton Decoded 6 min
Strong Characters 25 min
Superman 75th Anniversary Animated Short (Action Comics on USA Disc) this is really just a trailer 2 min long that's all

= REST OF EXTRAS
About 4 hours is extras so most of it is Journey of Discovery: Creating Man of Steel
How this work well with ultraviolet I be cautious as compared to USA Disc
If Ultraviolet Download file size is big might be ok
but I would prefer to have it part of a Disc

Im going to cancel this too, having extras as part of ultraviolet os not an option for me, i live in rural wales and internet is useless speeds, i want my extras on a disc...

First the important news- it has the hobbit featurette

The 2nd disc has 2 features (here only on download) The Journey of discovery documentary is actually the film again with PIP pop up mini docs throughout (and edited in so you can't drop them). In then past this would have been on disc 1 as Maximum Movie mode.

I can see no reason why this was dropped, or why it's not on disc one as MMM.

It says in the review that the 'Journey' featurette is on disc 2? (that, and another feature. The only 2 menu options)

It even states that you have to sit through the whole movie again to see the featurettes on this disc as they can't be selected individually.

Or am I completely missing something?

Nowhere. As noted previously in this thread the contents of the 2nd disc are available only in Europe as an ultraviolet download. When I say available here , I actually mean here and not in the US where the review came from.

My point is that a couple of years ago this would have been a MMM on disc one (where you could access all the bits sepratly as well) and we wouldn't be angry about it on Disc 2.

Canceled my chavvi order. Going for the Walmart edition, seeing how it contains a lot more extras and is confirmed Glossy. Can pick up a 3D disc later down the road.
May even buy the tin box when it up inevitably drops to $25 or less during Black Friday.
