Aronofsky in the Running to Direct Superman

Black Swan helmer Darren Aronofsky has joined the list of potential directors for Warner Bros.' new Superman movie, reports Heat Vision.

The list includes Duncan Jones, Jonathan Liebesman, Matt Reeves, Tony Scott and Zack Snyder. The trade adds that Ben Affleck was also briefly in the running but he is reportedly no longer pursuing the job.

Aronofsky is said to be in active talks, though it's early.

Christopher Nolan and Emma Thomas will executive produce the film, targeted for a 2012 release.

I'm through with watching live-action films in 3D. I have nothing against real 3D or pseudo 3D, the problem is that all the theaters i've been to don't have good 3D projection. The 3D effect is not worth it to sit through a poor projection that exhibits dimmness, darkness, and/or blurriness.

Someday, I hope someone can create an app which lists grades of the quality of the theaters' 3D projections, sort of like how restaurants in big cities have the sanitation grades.

I think you were a little too harsh with some points, but overall I agree with you mate... it's a disappointing poster that gives off the wrong message, and by that I mean it doesn't exactly sell the movie to me.

Still, I'm really looking forward to it! Hopefully Cavill can pull it off, although I also agree that Routh should have been given a second chance... he was the only decent thing about Superman Returns IMO.

I think the film's gonna be absolutely incredible, but considering it's a reboot, this poster isn't very good. Like I said, if this was a poster for Man of Steel 2, then it'd be intriguing. As a poster for the first film... meh. I thought the first teaser poster was way better.

I agree, this should be advertised in a BIG way, DC should view this like the BIG comeback of Superman. I think they've done a poor job in promoting this film.

These posters should be teasing us, denoting EPIC, but they come up short. I mean, the Watchmen, Sucker Punch, Inception teasers were monumental, and I honestly think Superman should blow all these away.
