That's something new if they do. I've bought a few if these for other movies and the code is in the packaging. Either way the listing I bough said it includes the code so I'm not worried.

Just looked at the receipt a little closer and I think the code is for a survey about store visits to Wal-Mart. The cashier pointed it out to me as though it was information pertaining to the Pre-order. After years of dealing with Wal-Mart "place in space" employees, I don't know why I felt he knew anymore than I did.

That's so cool! A steelbook from Walmart would be great if it looked like that! This gives some hope that the "right fit" for a G2 with steelbook-type of edges could in fact be the exclusive!

Guys, the code for the exclusive Blu-ray Combo Pack is INSIDE the pre-order package sandwiched between the collectible magnetic card and the cardboard backing. You logon to vudu.com/preorder/manofsteel to redeem the code and the instructions there will ask for mailing address to ship the Combo Pack (which is listed as no later than 11/4/13 - possible release date?). PLUS because this is redeemed on VUDU, the Ultraviolet digital version will be added to your collection BEFORE the Combo Pack is released.

Hope that makes sense. Bottom line, if you want the exclusive combo pack, you have to open this pre-order item. Otherwise, it is a very expensive lenticular magnetic card

maybe this is how Warner is doing the 3D steels in the US. The Hobbit 3D lenticular is the full size of the steel. So maybe it will be.
