Would you purchase the upcoming Superman flick in a Steelbook?

Hey DB,

Im curious to know why there are polls being put up for movies that haven't even had theatrical releases ?

How is one to know if they would want the steelbook without watching the movie yet ? Just my thoughts.... not sure if anyone else is thinking the same thing or not. Or is this one of those where studios need to asses demand in advance to produce an item or not... ?

Hi Steelbook-early threads build excitement. I'd say we'll only add threads occasionally for those most anticipated releases. The poll has 3 choices, so you can always say 'not sure', and then PM me to change your vote later on, since you can only vote once. Sometimes it takes time to convince the powers that be, so to get a real sense of what kind of interest there is, in advance, can be an advantage. But for now, these are casual discussion threads:) Have fun!

Ohk. I see. I was just wondering why. Based on anticipation this one is a buy, lol. I really like the new guy they picked for Superman (Henri Cavill or something like that?).

Nolan & Snyder together? Can't go wrong there - a big YES for a steelbook!

I already see myself double dipping on this too.

yeah no doubt eh. Chris Nolan has quietly become my favourite director/producer. I just love his style and approach to films. I think Ridley Scott is #2 now. I guess its no coincidence that my favourite two movies are Gladiator and Inception. :D

I can't remember who was is on here that has everything Chris Nolan... very impressive collection... I think it was you, lol ?

I believe it is a certain collector called Collector03601 :)

This is going to be as big as the Batman series since both Nolan and Goyer are writing this. Hopefully Snyder will make this his version of Nolan's Batman.

Oh so it is him, lol. That Nolan collection is just of the charts EEK!

Yeah Nolan & David Goyer I trust... Snyder not so much. I honestly did not like 300, Sucker Punch and thought Watchmen had its moments but again not the biggest fan. To put it simply Im not a big Zach Snyder fan (I don't even own 300 or Sucker Punch on bluray let alone steelbook). That being said a lot of people like his movies as well.

But Im hoping and assuming because Chris Nolan is involved as producer that his influences will heavily weigh on how the movie is made which excites me big time. Its kind of like how Spielberg even when he produces his influences on the movie can be seen. And the cast restores my faith even more (Russell Crowe, Kevin Costner, Amy Adams, Diane Lane) and I think the new guy as superman is perfect as well (Henry Cavill sp?).

Haven't been all that excited about Snyder movies until this one.

LOL, yes it is me....Nolan is #1 for me and whenever there is a special edition of one of his movies its always on top of my 'to do' list ;) so I guess my collection looks that way :)

Nolan's storytelling, Wally Pfister's cinematography and Hans Zimmer's score are the best combination I've ever seen....Love Snyder's visuals so have high hopes for Man Of Steel............. 'In Nolan I Trust' :scat:
