No. I believe the technical term would be that I've been costed out, regardless how much I love Manta and their product.

Dear collectors and friends,

I’m still surprised how fast these 10 years have flown by. When I started the company, I was just one passionate guy who wanted to give collectors something truly special. That mission has never changed. With everything in my power, I’ve always tried to deliver the best possible version of every title we release. You believed in what we were doing and luckily that’s what carried us this far. I’m extremely thankful for all the support and love from our collectors.

For our 10th anniversary, I originally wanted to release 10 movies that mean a lot to me personally, but there have been some issues with the approval process, so that plan might take longer or may not happen at all. Instead, our team might prepare a special item to celebrate the anniversary.

I don’t know what the future holds for physical media considering the difficulty of our market and the movies in general but as long as we’re here, we’ll keep creating the best editions we possibly can. A lot of exciting titles are already signed for 2026 and I can’t wait to show them to you soon.

“Man of Steel” was our very first exclusive steelbook. Ten years later, being able to bring you the new "Superman" exclusive steelbook feels like the perfect full-circle moment.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for these 10 incredible years. Here’s to another 10 years together.

Anyone else have trouble playing Manta Lab 4K discs on an Oppo 203?

I first discovered the issue ages ago when I had problems with Dunkirk, Dune and Barbie but been watching back the Matrix films this past week and had problems with every single one. Replace the discs with UK versions and no problems at all

Not like I can update the firmware on the player with it being EOL year ago

That's a strange one.. The fact that they're Manta Lab editions souldn't make any difference to the actual discs as the encoding should be the same. What sort of playback issues are you experiencing?

Random freezing then it's pot luck whether the disc recovers and just skips forward a a few seconds or whether it gives up completely

I don't have the problem with any other discs just those from Manta Lab

That is odd... I had issues in the past with a piece of crap LG 4K player. Some discs would freeze the first time they were played but would be fine the next time they were played. Upgraded to a Panasonic UB820 and had a couple of discs that froze but got them replaced and the new discs played fine. I currently have a Panasonic UB9000 and none of my 4K discs have ever frozen so no issues with Manta Lab discs so far. I would have thought, especially with Warner Bros discs, that the encode would be identical regardless of country of origin.
Sorry buddy, don't know what else to say, although that would imply the issue isn't with your Oppo but with the discs which is the lesser of 2 evils...

Sounds like a dirty disc. Check for dust or fingerprints perhaps? @leelee17 is absolutely right: this shouldn’t happen really. The discs are, in my experience, faultless.

Every 4k disc I buy I clean with a lens wipe and then wipe over with a microfiber cloth once dry to remove any residue as soon as I open them. Don't know if that would make a difference for you but might be worth trying in case there's any manufacturing 'film' on the discs that's more prominent on the Manta Lab discs...
