Pass.

Classic? Yes, but I'm sticking with purely animated ones for Disney. I can't afford these anymore. Just too many being released!

The recent drop in the Canadian Dollar is really going to curtail my purchases. Has gone from C$1.55 = GBP1.00 to C$1.82 = GBP1.00. That's a huge increase without Zavvi raising prices. :(

i think its quite obvious that the mock ups are made in jest.. most people are moaning that what was advertised is not what we got. my interpretation is the mock ups are made in anticipation of what is most likely to come.

its ironic that a user can make a moc-up that gives a (likely) true to life representation of what the steel will look like, even including the embossing, while zavvi have not gone to that trouble. no indication of the embossing was given by zavvi's mock ups.

so if anything, the user mock ups are very helpful. more so that the ones zavvi are providing. if zavvi dont want to become a laughing stock, maybe they should provide better mock ups themselves, ones that actually represent the products we receive. ...instead of coming down on a user who is just being humorous, creative, and actually helpful.

Did you say become a laughing stock, I think they are probably already there mate. Fell sorry for the members that are forking out top dollar for this stuff.

True... No amount of optimism or positive thinking can hide the fact they are doing this steelbook thing all wrong. Its a farce now. It was debatable before, its a dead cert now.

I thought this was live already ?

I preordered this earlier in the week.

You obviously managed to sneak an order in whilst they were setting the link itself live on the website. I managed to do that with 4 of the Disney titles being released in February - and use a discount code at the same time! :D

It seems that you get a window of an hour or two where the pre-order link is live for a while before being greyed out! Not quite sure why - must be something about the way they set it all up, but it doesn't seem very clever if you ask me! :naughty:

Seems like Poppins always has a higher than average starting price for some reason no matter what format it has been released in. I wonder if it is because the P. L. Travers estate gets a big slice of the pie still.

I never had a VHS and didnt get the DVD until much later so cant recall
though the DVD was only a fiver when I got it (2 Disc set too)

still, at least this £19.99 mark is consistant enough

I always wondered the same thing, but then the Amaray came out last year at £11-12 in most places.

Not exactly true geek
The amaray was only £11.99 in sainsburys on release day:thumbs:

It was not that cheap in the states. I ordered it from Amazon at the end of December and it cost me $29.99. That is pretty expansive for a title with no 3D disc. I remember it being pretty expensive when I got the DVD version some years back also.
