Melancholia (Possible Blu-ray SteelBook) [Korea]

Plain Archive (Korea blu-ray production company)'s concept steelbook image. First image's normal bluray was released in Korea. And second image's normal bluray will release this winter. But, they have plan to release steelbook.

Plain Archive went from 0 to hero very fast, plus they have their own webshop with international shipping, excentrict title-selection and I'm all ears for their next release.

Bravo to their Commercial management team. They should get a raise ;-)

Regardless of which artwork they went with i'd purchase. Personally I think #2 for steelbook and #1 for the full slip. Day one purchase easy

this won't be happening as a steelbook anyway. full slip + viva keep case it is. next steelbook by PA will be "zero dark thirty". no "melancholia" steel planned afaik.

Seems a bit of an overkill to me if they do release it.

It would be their 3rd "Melancholia" release and honestly, that's too much for one company with that movie.

Melancholia is a good movie, but in general too niche or arthouse.

Digipack, slipbox... you know what I mean.. Placed an order for the keep case edition.

I will be REALLY pissed if they decide to release a steelbook down the line.

If you're going to do a special release of a film, the keep case, steelbook whatever should all come out at the same time so people can choose and are not forced to order one - and then later shell out for another.

On the other hand, this is actually their first Melancholia release. The other (purple) was released/designed exclusively for dvdprime.

I really don't think their gonna do a 3rd design and/or steelbook of this movie.

It's time to move on. ZDT, I saw the Devil, The Master and hopefully more artistic, arthouse movies along the road.

I'm hoping they make a "Intouchables" in the future.

And with Intouchables I mean the touching, warm, friendly, confronting and in time funny french movie about a man in a wheelchair who gets someone extra ordinary to help him with his daily needs.

This should not get a release. They just released the slip yesterday so this would be a stab in the back IMO. At least wait a year and then release on steelbook is the best option.

I get what are you guys are saying but you have to understand that Plain Archive is still a company and have to make money to keep making and releasing new product.
