Yes, looks like the Swiss steel in post #81 was taken in unflattering lighting conditions and a better comparison between The Americas and the ROW editions can be seen in comparison stills (see SPOILER) where it's possible to see that the stormy appearance on that steel is a bit deceptive.
In addition to that the U.S. steel does look brighter to me with more colour used on it . . . more in the Disney style . . . with the ROW looking more sombre / more grey. Wouldn't be the first time we've had variations what with both steelbooks manufactured in different factories.
RE: FINISH - After looking at the in-hand pics it's possible that only full gloss on the U.S. steel with spot gloss/metallic reflections on the ROW ??????
Maybe someone can please confirm that the ROW steel is fully glossed. Thanx.
Anyway, my impression of the steelbook (based on the images below) . . .
Pluses:
- Lovely panoramic almost Impressionistic artwork with none of that overly zoomed in stuff we've seen.
- Beautifully glossy finish.
- Decent content with the 3D disc included.
- Classic Number 55 on slip spine.
Minuses:
- No flow between front and back artwork.
- De-bossed title only on The Americas edition.
- Inferior to previous Disney steels in the Classic Numbered Spine Collection in that the first run had 'bossing and the second run has lenticular magnets and this has . . . oh, yes, a full gloss finish (TBC).
