What is the different between selecting gift and merchandise then ???

Merchandise is it's an item that you have bought, so customs looks for an invoice (which will be with it) and gift means you have not paid for it and it is a present. If customs decides that the gift is over a certain value (£15. Gift is higher value but some staff may have that value stuck on their head. ) then you will be charged vat.

Both options merchandise or gift with us $15.99 marked on slip AND invoice should sail through but some marked as gift did get charged recently, hence I switched to merchandise. They only seemed to do that on the items shipped via ems shipping which is the fastest way to get the parcel to you.

Hope that helps.

I can confirm that the two orders I placed from JSDVD on IM3, one marked as gift and one as merchandise, the gift package got stopped and charged whereas the merchandise sailed through. I will be marking all future international packages as merchandise going forward.

We should have a poll that plots who who gets charged when receiving merchandise vs. gift parcels by country so we can see where the risk area's are!

Really surprised this is still available. Is it even close to selling out ?

What surprises me is how Le Grand sold out within minutes and yet this has been availalbe over a month. I understand the quantity is more and there are 3 different versions to choose from but c'mon now this is Monsters Inc....lol. I figured a popular Pixar flick would saleout alot sooner. This is probably more due to people being more selective with all the recent steelbooks coming out.

But T2 also took ages to sell out aswell. I can't really understand why Le Grand Bleu went so quick, it's the worst film of the exclusives released so far.
