...I can't really understand why Le Grand Bleu went so quick, it's the worst film of the exclusives released so far.

Wrong :)

LGB isn't properly sold out anyway. Kimchi is sitting on some which is really frustrating for people like me who missed out first time round and would like a chance to preorder.

LGB sold out because of the hype factor. Once all the collectors secures a copy there will be plenty floating around at a decent price.

Maybe overseas (from the US). Feel free to monitor the Americas. I doubt you'll come across a single one even close to retail.

Maybe, but there are still some available as specified in the OP. These will be available to preorder at some as yet unspecified date.

Thats way they should do Gb for hdn members who misses previous pre orders. If 500 gone in 6 minutes how long going take 30 ? :) Choi mention before abot some draw, but realy should do gb . And those ho got one should stay away from it :) ( includes me ) :)

It's much of a muchness though. Either a preorder or a GB, they both go live at a certain time, and it's first come first served.

The way they are dragging their heels on this, there wouldn't be time for a draw. You'd have to get members to submit their names in to the draw for each version. Then filter the group for members who already have existing preorders (although I'm not sure how they would do that). Then hold the draws, notify the members, have them pay in a certain time. Then redraw for any that didn't pay in time. It would be far too much hassle.

It's just easier to give a date and then reopen the links. However the date of the 16th September was given, then sometime after the 16th, and then nothing else. Again, I just can't understand the reasons for the delay.

I simply feel the costs have been affecting why some releases are still available. Between LGB and Monsters inc, someone should do a tally of the exclusive releases to see how many we've had.People are spending quite a bit and just don't have the spare to buy some more. If we didn't have so many releases in between, this would've sold out already.

What surprises me is how Le Grand sold out within minutes and yet this has been availalbe over a month. I understand the quantity is more and there are 3 different versions to choose from but c'mon now this is Monsters Inc....lol. I figured a popular Pixar flick would saleout alot sooner. This is probably more due to people being more selective with all the recent steelbooks coming out.

That's the case for me since start of year. :D

Too many steelbook releases (Zavvi is over-saturating the market, IMO), high prices, charging right away, delays...big factors.

It's a nice looking steel though.

Though the release date is set for the 15th of October, the mention "In stock" has popped up on the website. Have your orders been shipped yet? Thanks.
