I think it's an aspect of Steelbook collecting that helps to keep it interesting personally.

Sold out quite quick I noticed but will be back in stock soon as usual.. Is this a 4000 print run as usual as the email was like very limited print run?

I don't even know why Zavvi is bothering with these marketing shenanigans (i.e. lying to customers that "any" Disney steelbook, besides Aladdin, can actually go out of stock) in order to move a few thousand units of product that's going to net them what...1-2 GBP per item at best? They might not even be making money at all on overseas purchases when they charge 1 pound for shipping to the U.S. Granted, this does show from what a small volume e-commerce retailer Zavvi truly is.

How many editions can be considered a bulk buy?
I bought 5 copies for a small group buy in a brazilian forum as Zavvi does not ship to Brazil anymore.
Do I need to be worried?

Not at all...I just just having a giggle at those who are obsessed with how "limited" some of these new release steelbooks are, and what the may be worth in the future.
If it was up to me I wouldn't make them limited at all so we could all get a copy and I have zero interest in what they may be worth later on as I have no plans to sell my collection.

ok, maybe i just didn't read your post as ironic as it was meant to be.
;) i understand your point now, even if i personally think that limitation on steelbooks is one of the aspects that make collecting them so interesting and worthwhile.

as for their sold-out e-mail:
it's of course possible that they had massive bulk orders which will get cancelled now, but my personal guess is that they deactivated the link to give their "rarities" section with CITW and HG more attention.
anyway, i'm also happy that they are trying to communicate more and make the whole process more transparent by sending out e-mails like this one.
if you believe their story, it's up to you now.
either way, they will have to work hard on getting trust back from customers constantly.

no, up to 5 copies is ok with zavvi's rules.

I dont expect it to stay OOS for long. As far as we know its an unlimited print run. Could be 10-20K. I bought a couple just to make sure I get 1 mint one.

It was stated that all future Disney releases would be limited to four or five thousand copies. I do find it a little strange that people think that Zavvi is taking this off sale to try to build hype when hype is at it's highest when a listing first goes live. Then there is a lull as collectors move on to other announcements before it starts to build up again as the release date nears. Common sense suggests that taking it off sale this early would do more to harm sales than increase them.

Wow, first disney title I slept on buying right away and it's sold out!? I'm mad but I know that it will come back in stock again.

Until I see it actually stated in the listing on zavvi's site or on the steelbook itself I dont believe anything zavvi says. Why should I?

I think I should rephrase that. Its not zavvi stating the print runs. Its what is said on this board that shouldnt be taken seriously.
