Yesterday was a crazy day for NFL news.

According to NFL.com, the Packers have decided to exclude the guys on injured reserve from the Super Bowl picture. They currently have 16 players on IR ranging from rookies that haven't played a single game with the Packers to seasoned vets like RB Ryan Grant, LB Nick Barnett and TE Jermichael Finley.

Near Chicago, a car saleman was fired for wearing a Packers tie to work. Reports on Sirius NFL Radio said that he wore the tie to honor a deceased family member who was a huge Packers fan, and NFL.com said that he wore it to support his team.

Raiders owner Al Davis made waves when he held a rambling press conference last week in which he bashed former coach Tom Cable after firing him. Well, Al is back at it, but this is worse. He tried to defend the Raiders selection of JaMarcus Russell with the No. 1 pick in 2007 by bashing Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson.
