There will never be a better movie than TDK IMHO. Not only because it's my fav of all time, but because nothing else comes close. I haven't seen TDKR yet because I hate weekend openings of films like others I have spoken to. Also the kids broke up of school this week and I will assault any that make noise in the back row, so i'm gonna lay low for a bit and watch it in an empty cinema 
I prefer TDK over TDKR, some inconsistencies with the story on TDKR that just bugged me. TDK's Joker is by far my favorite bad guy.

TDK kills the other two. BB was great and is my second favorite. But no villain is ever going to top Heath!
TDK is by far the best, then BB. and TDKR is a poor film bane is terrible the plot is weak and the pace of the movie is so slooooooow

I see what you mean there, but I simply could not wait! I went to the midnight screening last night (we had to wait 4 days extra to see it in Norway
). I feared the same as you, but the entire audience were absolutely silent throughout the entire screening. It was an amazing experience and the movie was fantastic! But I have to agree that TDK will stand as the strongest in the trilogy, as one of my all time fav as well.
TDK is definitely the best of the bunch. I don't think any future comic book movie will ever come close. No villian will ever match Heath Ledgers' Joker.
TDK made a big impact on movie industry but cant decide whether its the best one.
