Oblivion (Blu-ray SteelBook) [Czech]

Confirmed as a steelbook! Here is the artwork:

Much nicer than the Korean version in my opinion!

When this thread was created back in January, there wasn't the placeholder steelbook artwork on the Film Arena website that there is now. I'm not sure if it said 'Steelbook' in the title on Film Arena before either, but it does now, so i'm pretty sure that its going to be a steelbook.

Well OK, but as far as I know, it is still unsure, whether it will really be released here or not (as a steelbook). They usually have some kind of picture in advance, but with so much time to release date, it is hardly confirmed official artwork...

But considering other countries are starting to offer this too (Germany, France, Korea...), chances are getting higher it will be released here as well.

I'm not saying that's definitely the final artwork, that's the placeholder artwork they are displaying. I was more making the point its not a amaray release or anything like that, you can see from the photo it is a steelbook and it says it in the title also. I am not that familiar with Film Arena though, do they often list steelbooks and then cancel them?

Oh, OK. I didn't get that the first time. I'm quite sure this was listed as steelbook from the beginning. They often do that with popular titles, which have a chance of getting a steelbook treatment (even about 6 or more months in advance, before the movie hits cinemas). But with so far in advance, it's all just a possibility, nothing's certain until it gets confirmed.

This one, as far as I know, hasn't been confirmed yet, but the listing IS for steelbook and hasn't been removed yet, so fingers crossed! :)

Hi there. New to the forum...enjoying collecting the steelbooks. Didn't get a chance to catch this at the cinema. Was it any good? 3d? Cheers guys

I caught it last week. I was disappointed to be honest. Thats not to say i wouldn't pick it up on steel if the art was good enough :scat:

Welcome by the way :D

What disappointed you? I was personally very happy with the movie. Best film I've seen in a long time. The soundtrack was superb and I couldn't find anything seriously wrong with the movie (story, execution, acting...). The whole time I was waiting for the flaws mentioned in some reviews I read, but I didn't notice any...

I haven't read any reviews, but while the effects and scale of everything was brilliant, i found the story less than entertaining. The plot twists did nothing for me, and god damn it, i want more Morgan Freeman!! :movie:
I imagine it looking sick in IMAX though :scat:
