I've unofficially declared war in my office using the Annoy a tron from thinkgeek.com

I got it as a promo gift for free, man it's hilarious. It lets out this high pitched electrical buzz at a random time every 2-7 minutes... People are going, "What IS that?!" It has a magnet on it so I was able to stick it on the underside of a cabinet drawer.. even if they go digging they'll never know it's there.

I'm dying trying not to laugh everytime someone acknowledges it


The best part... it'll last up to 4 weeks.

so I showed my Dad the thread who is a practical joker at heart and he bought one for this office. He said the only thing that sucks is he cant hear the high frequency due to some firework accident when he was little lol. He said its still fun tho as he keeps hearing people bitching about it.

I finally had to break the news to one co-worker because he was literally starting to freak out on me.. he was sure I was somehow making the noise... However, after letting him in on it I switched it over to the lower pitched computer-like beep and we planted it RIGHT UNDER the keyboard of the lady nearby... she's been threatening to open an IT ticket since Friday.

The battery finally gave out, but it stayed under the keyboard until it finally quit... what was funny was as the battery got low it got weaker lol


Never detected.. but it only lasted like 3-4 weeks.. so the advertised battery life was pretty spot on... man I wonder if the night time cleaning crew ever went nuts trying to figure out what that was!
