Yes, but keep in mind guys, if we still have "people" paying Zavvi whatever they want, there is NO reason for them to stop the giant cash-grab they're pulling on us.

Almost - The Play release was £ 11.99 but it suffered the same fate as Battle Royale , fans of the films absolutely flipped and went wild in the forums with excitement, leading the ebay scalpers to believe it was going to be hugely popular so they bought them up in bulk.
What they failed to appreciate was that it was hugely popular (but in a very small select audience in terms of overall steelbook appeal - not everyone appreciates that type of film in the mass market)
The result is there to see - Battle Royale and OldBoy selling on ebay for less than the original retail price as scalpers struggle to get rid of their stock.

The original Oldboy will gather more fans once Spike Lee's film comes out, but this re-release is gonna negate any potential increase in value for the original.

You can get the original release, new and sealed on ebay for less than the original price

More than likely, it is a zavvi release, but then even the zavvi exclusive has been dropped from their title

Did the orginal Zavvi release come with DD 5.1 audio?

Looks like the only difference might be that this one comes with DTS-HD MA 7.1 (check bottom of the poster):
