What is actually the difference in this version compared to the previous one? Look exactly the same!

Upon comparing the two side-by-side, the only noticeable difference I found was the colouring of the back cover of the SteelBook - The grey parts on the oiginal print un are ore of a bluish hue, whereas the grey parts on the reprint are more of a natural grey colour. Aside from that, they appear identical

I'm somewhat annoyed about this, as I expected a different barcode or at least some kind of indication that this is a reprinted SteelBook and not an original print run

Does anyone know whether there are any obvious differences with the Blu-Ray discs inside?

Watched the remake last night... Loved it its a shame it's been slated so much. Hammer fight seen was amazing, still not as good as the original tho! First spike lee film iv loved!

Zavvi are citing a 3rd January 2014 release date for this. Is it possible that those of us who ordered from Amazon.co.uk were in fact sent copies of the original print run? Has anyone who pre-ordered from Zavvi actually received theirs yet?

There seems to be a lot of confusion regarding this release, and certain questions need to be cleared up.

im not sure why anyone would get the 2nd release when you can already get the first for cheaper ? :hilarious:

The 2nd release contains the 3 hour documentary.

That said, with a new digital master coming (in Korea, at least), both now seem defunct :scat:

Is there anything externally on the J-card to denote this? Or am I right that the J-cards and barcodes are exactly the same for both releases?

I have this niggling feeling in my head that I may have been sent a first print copy, and I need some kind of closure to put my mind at rest.

Well, I was basing my info on post #40, however, looking again, that does not show the steelbook. One wonders if they haven't just reused old stock for the steelbook... I don't have it myself.

I have the new release in my hand, arrived today from Amazon UK.

Same EAN, exactly the same J-card. Everything is identical with the first release.

Not planning to open this in a hurry, as I might send this back (already have the first release).

If there was a 3 hour documentary included, one would think it'd be prominently advertised on the J-card (on the front!) :p

Lol Ben.

It's true, it's the same release. Just ran the BD through eac3to and didn't see any 3 hour extras.

Was worth the risk, and I still paid less, as the original release wasn't offered from Amazon directly, and re-sellers tend to charge more than 1.50 pounds to ship
