The picture is sort of remastered and director approved but still disappointing due to big color timing changes. Highly unlikely for this to get a remaster unless it is magically released by Criterion.

Good news is the Steelbook arrived today and looks much better than the over hyped Battle Royale. The bad news is I don't see any special finish on the neon lights to make them stand out. This would have been a winner if it was full gloss.

I hadn't seen it or really heard of it. But absolutely LOVED it, it even convinced me to open my copy of Battle Royale.

Haha. That's pretty bad....but that's what happens when you don't have patience. 12 months down the line the value of this steelbook will have at least doubled. I guess they just really needed the money......

Glad I'm not alone in this, my copy of Amazing Spiderman went back to HMV last week with a tiny dent in the bottom right corner. I would've been gutted if my copy of Oldboy was damaged as the film is a real favourite of mine, but thankfully it was in one piece, phew!

Just opened mine to start watching it - yet another steel that's wasted if kept all wrapped up it looks stunning IMHO - really like it and glad I bought blind on recommendation of others .... Now to watch the film

Both copies I pre-ordered got lost within My Hermes somewhere

Play have resent 1 copy today but I had a refund on the other. That's the 2nd and last time I use My Hermes!! Just the one order at a time for me from Play from now on (at least until they change couriers!!)
