Yea! It seems that for great films they don’t put any effort on the art and finished knowing they will sell as opposite of crappy films that they get awesome art n glossy embossing knowing collectors will buy them just coz the Steelbook,
It's not often I regret passing on a pre-order nowadays, but this is definitely one of those times that I do! Ended up really enjoying the film, and the steel is a winner IMO.
Think that's what I may end up doing.
No 4k In the Italian steelbook from the reviews i have read its a REFERENCE quality discThink that's what I may end up doing.
I'm not interested in 4K anyway bud. What's a reference quality disc?No 4k In the Italian steelbook from the reviews i have read its a REFERENCE quality disc
reference quality is something you'd show off when trying to impress, refer to, and / or show off the capabilities of a format etc. Back in the days when Blu-ray was first coming out many considered Speed Racer as reference quality by example for its amazing 1080p visuals (as we all know now damn near almost all animation looks amazing in HD) and its sound.I'm not interested in 4K anyway bud. Where did you hear this? The Italian steelbook has 4KNo 4k In the Italian steelbook from the reviews i have read its a REFERENCE quality disc
Ohh gotcha! I know stores use that as a selling technique, but just never knew it had an actual name lol. Funny you should mention Speed Racer, as that's actually what eventually sold me on Blu-ray back in the day.reference quality is something you'd show off when trying to impress, refer to, and / or show off the capabilities of a format etc. Back in the days when Blu-ray was first coming out many considered Speed Racer as reference quality by example for its amazing 1080p visuals (as we all know now damn near almost all animation looks amazing in HD) and its sound.
In the case of this film it has Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision (if not on all 4k, at least the USA one that I know) and the night scenes etc. looked super thick and dark without taking away light from the purposed center points of the shots etc.
