Popped in to HMV to check this one out and it looked pretty washed out and dull to me. I thought the lenticular slip on the amaray looked better! :eek:

Mine didn't turn up from Amazon either and was posted Saturday on a paid postage option of first class !

What a twat when I have been into HMV this morning to pick up the Hobbit extended steelbook for £17.99 and could of got this at the same time for £17.99 !!

I know the feeling!

Yeah the metallic finishes suits the film. Having 3D mentioned on the spine twice is a bit overkill though.

I would agree with you if the age ratings and the blue band were removable.

You're absolutely right. Was very tempted by the lenticular slip of the amaray version. But have to budget for replacing the crap uk discs with the us discs.

The 5.1 audio is excellent so I would not call it crap, but it is crap that the 7.1 is not included, which is typical of Warner's treatment of the UK.

I'm pretty sure they are not on the steelbook itself. I saw a video of an unwrapping and once the plastic was taken off they were not visible any longer.
