I have been trying to get this since last night, finally ordered one. Shipping is expensive to US.

Yeah, they send DHL express typically, so you'll see your notification and then have it one to two days later, depending on your location.

UBER fast, and that's the only way they ship.

Took almost two months for me to get a couple of steels to Canada. DHL sucks, IMO. Amazon.jp as well. No retribution of any kind either.

So not sure if I want to place an order with them again :S

Seen a couple of people mention gift wrap. What's so special about it ?

There's a theory that they add your steelbook / single item purchased to a box if it's gift wrapped, as many folks get single steels in jiffy bags, I think.

When I order, I have a few other things I'm interested in and just do it that way and always get a box.

Never had a problem in the USA, I've placed seriously 30+ orders from them over the years...but we don't have the customs rules that other countries do.

My personal experience with DHL has been more positive than FedEx...they used my last steelbook shipment as a platform to stand on...

I've ordered single items from them before and nearer the dispatch time I email them to ask for it to be well packed in a box. They say that they can't guarantee this but I always get a pretty bomb proof parcel with lots of padding.

how much is it to ship to the USA then?. To the Uk it was 300Yen.

How did you get shipping for 300Yen? Every time I order its about 2000Yen. It's 300Yen for gift wrapping.

2,000 Yen for one item

that's 1000Yen cheaper than shipment to the UK. It total it cost me £56 with adding the Gift wrapped option for hopefully better protection. That total will no doubt go up thou when Customs get hold of it.

JUST GOT ONE!!! EEK! :oohyeah:

P.S. I'm hoping for a miracle ordering this. The last time I ordered SteelBooks from Amazon Japan, they all arrived flat as a board -- as if a truck ran over them. I'm a little nervous with this since I only get one shot. At least I ordered it with three more Blu-rays (hopefully that helps).

Shall I order or not? Defo the one to get out of all PR releases...But it's going to get a UK customs whack...Price is around £100 delivered then EEK!

If you are combining this with something else, I would combine it with items with a similar release date. On a combo order, Amazon.jp sometimes ships items out in advance, if the items are in stock.
