This will be a huge letdown if it turns out to be matte finish which doesn't suit the film at all. The entire film is a visual feast with the outburst of colors and gloss suited robots.

I'm really considering cancelling my order for this. As I am 100% sure it will have a matte finish, and as its more than likely to have a tiny slip with tiny cards + booklet, its just not worth the money. Regardless of it being sold out. I would rather have a superb Digipack for this than a matte Steelbook....meh, decisions!

As I already have the US amaray with lenticular slip do I really need another matte steel???
The artwork really cries out for gloss but I would bet my house on this being exactly like the FS copy...
Seen the light these days for me anyway. As splashing the cash just to get a nice PAPER SLIP is just not worth it anymore.....:movie:

That is indeed a great value but this one has

2D BD
Normal Bonus Feature Disc
Japanese Bonus Feature Disc (exclusive to JP and new content....I think lol)
Photo Art Booklet
Jager blueprint cards (even though they are tiny)

This retail price is ok. Its just the shipping that kills it money wise for me and anyone one else not in JP. Also no 3D

As far as I knew JP version would have 3-Disc,
(1) 2D feature film
(2) 1st special feature disc (I assume it'd be like US)
(3) 2nd special feature disc, exclusive only for this release...

I agree guys the Japan version has some Bonus Extras, + (Tiny Cards, Booklet)

But for me I never watch those discs.... Only Interested in the film.

Plus this is one film that needs to be seen in 3D...Its spectacular......

Each to their own though.

Shipping can make it expensive for some countries. Thats not an issue for me as all my Japan steels ship to an address in Japan free of charge......

Like I already said its more than likely going to have the dull matte FS finish to it....

For such a superb film I just wish Japan had done a digipack for this like what they have for Elysium. Theres just too many matte steels these days.

I suppose it boils down to how much you want the bonus disc and the cards+booklet.....And are those extras worth $76.00 to you. As you already have the FS Steelbook........

EDIT..../Just Cancelled my copy and the money It would have cost + a bit extra, is going to Battersea Dogs & Cats Home.

Well the question there is will it come with a slipcover being that it's a Warner release. But yeah I agree that the amount being paid is mainly because of the paper slip and artcards included. But that's the risk you take when ordering steel's from Amz Jp. By the time you see the live pics no chance to cancel if it's ends up being a dud. Went ahead and ordered the 3D amaray version for $14.99...lowest price I've seen.
