The disc will be the same as the new US Special Edition

Here's something that's made me very happy. From the PR company -

Hi Matt,

I hope you are well, please find attached the press release for Pain & Gain. I am pleased to confirm that the UK release will feature the same extras as the US special edition release.

Kind Regards

Kerry

Latest update from Zavvi
Still waiting on finalised artwork.

The finishes are overall matte varnish, except for a spot UV gloss on Mark and Dwayne on the front cover.

There’s a pantone red on their names on the front cover, and emboss on the title treatment.

Confirmed as 1000 units only and from the traffic and questions we are getting, think this will only last a couple of days at the most before selling out.

Grrrrrrrr, this is why I absoutely hate such limited print runs and people who buy more steelbooks than they need.

A friend and I really, really enjoyed this film and what with the rather poor selection of steelbooks on offer recently, I was looking forward to this.

Instead, people buy multiple copies (one person on this site saying they plan to cancel an one of their orders later down the line-why?) and now those who do want them have to pay the jerks who bought more than they need the extortionate prices they will demand. This doesn't seem fair at all to me, and I really hope Zavvi stick to 4000+ print runs in future.

was able to put 1 order in the nick of time..but that was fast..hopefully the evilbayers didn't get all of it..

Well to be honest I ordered one then canceled it and ordered again with the code. I can imagine it will come back up with the people who canceled and re ordered with the code.
I can't see zavvis systems working that rapid. Plus we all know cancellation happen closer to release and with steelbooks that have sold out they appear later. Takes time for te system to refresh

You snooze, you lose :p (its ALWAYS been like this for low print runs and it won't change)

I ordered some copies without the code, cancelled and re-ordered with code. So I am guessing there are still another 50-100 left, people who already canceled because of the code. And maybe even more once it is released.

That's crazy sold out
anyone who has ordered more than 1 copy should have them cancelled
With 1000 limited it should only be 1 copy per customer

If anyone has placed more than 1 it simply should not be allowed and anyone who has done this are not letting genuine fans of film place an order
As most people only buy 1
Buying to sell at a profit should never be allowed with any limited release of only 1000 or 2000 run

Zavvi should cancel anyone who has placed more than 1
So any customer who has placed an order example qty of 2/3/4/5 etc there order should be reduced to only 1

I hate this 1000 copy crap. Just takes the fun out of steelbook collecting. I'd rather just own the steelbook than own a "rare" steelbook, the end result is the same.

Actually it is the opposite.

I hope this is just the start of Zavvi's new marketing, very limited edition steelbooks. Not 4k, 10k or like IM3, JB, TLM probably 20-50K.

I hope that the steelbooks will be numbered. Using a slipcover or something.
