The disc will be the same as the new US Special Edition

Here's something that's made me very happy. From the PR company -

Hi Matt,

I hope you are well, please find attached the press release for Pain & Gain. I am pleased to confirm that the UK release will feature the same extras as the US special edition release.

Kind Regards

Kerry

Latest update from Zavvi
Still waiting on finalised artwork.

The finishes are overall matte varnish, except for a spot UV gloss on Mark and Dwayne on the front cover.

There’s a pantone red on their names on the front cover, and emboss on the title treatment.

Confirmed as 1000 units only and from the traffic and questions we are getting, think this will only last a couple of days at the most before selling out.

I'll be surprised if the price drops by much. Amazon are selling the amaray for £17.25, Base are selling for £19.99 and Zavvi are already taking orders for the amaray at £22.99. Zavvi and Base are showing a release date of 23/12

What price exactly would you expect for etched numbering? It's perfectly reasonable especially when compared with the Disney titles being the same price for crap all in terms of special finish or anything fancy.

It's aimed at those who are saying they expected the price to be much lower. So no.

Wait I thought this was etched..is it just City of God that's etched?!

Damn. Then I'll join the moaners :hilarious:

I was half asleep so got a bit confused :emb:. It's not etched, but is limited to only 1000 so I'd expect that to bump the price up a bit

It's nice to see a limited run for a change. It will be interesting to see how long this takes to sell out. I hope to place an order before it does. Anyone interested should keep on there toes or you could simply subscribe to updates on this thread and hope the info emerges here first.

If any steelbook is to be etched with a number then it should be on a limited run such as Pain & Gain.
At least that would differentiate it from other countries releasing this with the same art.

Like Django Unchained Italy? "Limited to 1000" but same cover like the rest!:D

i predict that even with a 1k print run, this won't go very high on ebay or those looking to flip...unless its an absolutely exclusive art (which i doubt)

and i agree, with a "low print run" it should have some type of numbering system either etched or put on the slip to give buyers more incentive and differentiate between releases
