The disc will be the same as the new US Special Edition

Here's something that's made me very happy. From the PR company -

Hi Matt,

I hope you are well, please find attached the press release for Pain & Gain. I am pleased to confirm that the UK release will feature the same extras as the US special edition release.

Kind Regards

Kerry

Latest update from Zavvi
Still waiting on finalised artwork.

The finishes are overall matte varnish, except for a spot UV gloss on Mark and Dwayne on the front cover.

There’s a pantone red on their names on the front cover, and emboss on the title treatment.

Confirmed as 1000 units only and from the traffic and questions we are getting, think this will only last a couple of days at the most before selling out.

Cover art is a little meh
Rear cover art is a little  ;)

lol at Zavvi not expecting this to last more than a couple of days.... try minutes/hours :ohno:

They could have at least added Antony Mackie in there somewhere. He didnt get any publicity for this movie and his role just as big as the Rocks and Wahlberg's. I guess there was something about his contract that made him exempt from any posters or artwork or noteriety. Cover is cool but another run of the mill black steelbook. Embossing and Paramount's great finishes should save it though. Cant wait to order.

Ah great Paramount they always make good steels :) Artwork looks good, for some reason I'm liking the back more that the front though:naughty: Ordering for sure.

I avoid Michael Bay's films like the plague!

This will be no different! :D

I don't like the guy either, I'm no fan the Transformers trilogy, but he's made some decent films.

You've got to admit The Rock (a notably popular film with Sean Connery, Ed Harris and Nic Cage) and The Island (an underrated film with Ewan McGregor, Scarlett Johansson and Sean Bean) are pretty cool. Funny how the two titles are almost alike — and funny that he got to direct The Rock 17 years after directing The Rock :D.

Now I haven't seen Pain & Gain, but I understand this is kind of a passion project for Bay who has always wanted to make this film (and he agreed to do Transformers 4 for that), I believe it's more Bad Boys than Armageddon/Pearl Harbor/Transformers, and I trust the pretty okay critics (who usually pan Bay) so I want in on this very limited print run : I will blind buy this (and only 1 copy that I will open and enjoy :)).

Thanks for all the info digitalbabe ;).

Hope Ms Paly gets some spot UV gloss treatment as well and not just the 2 lads on the front cover.

£23.99!!!!!!!!

Wow. This hobby getting very expensive.

Still cheaper than what ES were offering them for, not so bad if DEUT10 works on this tomorrow. I get the feeling that this will be ineligible or the code will have conveniently expired though.

Yeh I bet you'll be right. Would be nice if it was still working.

I paid 14.99 for mine, that about £10.00. But I guess I will go with the Czech version as that will be a lot less expensive.
