Hi Steelbook traders!

Not sure which Paypal option to choose? Read on to find out more!

attachment.php

Paypal GOODS: We recommend using this on large transactions, with members you've not traded with before or NEW members (ie Trader score of 3 or under) as your transaction will be protected by Paypal up to 45 days after payment.

Paypal Gift* (Also known as Family & Friends): should ONLY be used when you've dealt with the same ninja a number of times - basically when a bond of trust has formed. You will NOT be covered by Paypal if you use this option. Overuse of this option could lead to PP contacting you, so be careful.

*not all countries ALLOW this option

Once you've understood the above, follow the instructions below on how to make a payment via PP: (click on red words for pictures)
  1. Login via Paypal
  2. Click the 'Send Money' Tab
  3. Type in the sellers Paypal email address
  4. Type in the amount you wish to send
  5. Select the currency by clicking on the dropdownbox
  6. Select either GOODS or GIFT aka Family & Friends
  7. Click Continue
  8. Review your payment before sending + option to leave a message in Subject or message box
  9. Click 'send Monday'
  10. Done!

*TIP*: You can use http://www.clothnappytree.com/ppcalculator to determine what the amount of fees should be.

Important, if you see new members not following trading rules - whether that be not posting prices, references or even listing their first 3 transactions in the pending / active sales section... Feel free to contact a staff member or trading mod with questions or concerns.

Thank you everyone for helping to make this a safe trading community - but it is very important that we are always conservative in our dealings with new members - and that it's not only my fellow hardworking Staff/Mods, but it is you, our trading community which makes this trading forum safe.

We do NOT recommend paying or receiving via Amazon giftcard as you will NOT be protected if the deal goes wrong!

This keeps popping up - if you pay with GIFT to a seller, on a big transaction, your options will indeed be limited or non-existent if you receive something that you didn't expect.

I know some people are able to use this option responsibly, but it does appear to be a repeating theme.

Again, per trading rules, "pre-orders" are not allowed unless you are purchasing from a group buy host.

It's buyer beware and at your own risk if you pay via gift and especially if the other trading party might not be following all the trading rules.

As a result, trading moderators may seek resolution through other means if the person that was paid by gift is not willing to fix the situation.

Thanks
