Ordered way back at 5.50pm

:ordered:

Just that this new windows 8.1 is totally rubbish, the complete opposite of logical and efficient - and I bloody hate using it - that's why I didn't post until now - I feel Classic Shell coming on soon !!

Rant over for the time being.

I'd always imagined Pinocchio was one of the most popular Disneys - doesn't look like that now - shame, people don't know what they're missing :)

I'd love to see some links to back up that theory. Not disputing it just very surprised if it's true as all Disney titles I have seen like Finding Nemo Aladdin etc go for double or more :)

Just an observation really. For some reason Aladdin and Finding Nemo weren't scalper bait like pretty much every single new Zavvi title is, I don't remember seeing all the listings going up for pre-order on the bay like they did for Bambi, Cinderella, Peter Pan, Lady and the Tramp etc.

I think they believed they would sell for £40 plus. But that rarely happens now. I was certain this was an anticipated title much more than some of the most recent Disneys, I have no evidence to prove it but to me it seems the majority of sales are by scalpers. Or maybe I'm wrong and the print run for this is very large. I'd like to back it up but all I have is a hunch.

i totally forgot this was even going live today. i bet many others did too, hence its still in stock.

zavvi dont promote their steels properly do they. they dont tweet when the titles will be going live, they dont use their facebook account to that effect either. it seems they are relying on people having psychic abilities to know the info with their intuition alone.

and zavvi dont follow any predictable pattern for releases. ie, there is no set day every month when pre-orders go live. items could be laying dormant for months and then suddenly spring to life, or items could go live only a week or so after being put on their site.

so customers are seemingly expected to bookmark every upcoming title from zavvi they are interested in, and hit the reload button at random intervals every day of the week until the product goes live.

or, every zavvi customer is also expected to be a member of this forum, as this forum gets all the info zavvi should really be making readily available to all via twitter and facebook.

oh well. zavvi just dont make sense. and then they must wonder why the most exciting steelbook collection (possibly ever) with disney/pixar, isnt the runaway success it should be.

You call that late

Look at the time it was sent in your email inbox or your spam folder not the time you checked at :D

Also check that you have setup to receive email notifications from Zavvi

I blew off that e-mail when I saw it when logging on tonight; thinking I already ordered it awhile back. Hard to keep track of all these steelies. Ordered in time. I'm just lucky I bothered to go into the thread when down in the middle of page 2 (back to the top you go!), curious to see if it had sold out. The artwork is amazing and it'll look great next to FS/BB. Prolly no better 1-2 punch out there, since FS/BB is prolly Top 5 for me.

Well i have emailed zavvi asking for the print run of this and heres the reply:
