While I can still get the 2 disc version at a reasonable price, can someone confirm that this steelbook is definitely the 1 disc version?
I don't want to miss out on the special features, also, I don't want to buy the other version unnecessarily

I would not fully trust any info about the number of discs until someone posts actual pictures of the item itself. Although its a very good chance it will be only one disc as most of the Disney steels have been only one disc. It will likely be Region B locked as well.
I was thinking Monsters Inc dropped the bonus disc, but then they put the 3D disc in instead
Sorry I meant the Disney classic releases usually have one disc. The newer pixar ones do usually have two discs because of the 3D.
The confusing thing is all the Disney films released in steelbook were originally one disc anyway, but Pinocchio is two disc release. With them dropping the bonus disc for Monsters Inc, it's hard to tell what they're going to do
Always expect them to do what costs them less. That way you wont set yourself up for disappointment.
Seeing as the new release is only one disc, then I may just go ahead and buy the two disc version
I see your confusion, the standard single disc release on Zavvi says one disc and has tons of special features listed. (alternate ending, delete scenes, the making of, etc) The steelbook listing on Zavvi says one disc as well, but does not mention any of these special features being included. Usually they use the same disc from the standard version for the steelbook release. Its possible they just forgot to mention all the special features on the Steelbook listing. So there is a chance it may include all these special features on the single disc.
Pinocchio was re released as a 1 disc only in June 2012
It had an printing error listing the the 2 Disc extras on the back of the Blu-ray and was not corrected this error has been known about a good while now
The June 2012 re-release it only has extras from Disc 1 of previous releases
The only extras on the 1 Disc release is
Audio commentary by Leonard Maltin, Eric Goldberg and J.G Kaufman
"Cine-Explore" PiP video/audio commentary by Leonard Maltin, Eric Goldberg and J.G Kaufman (same commentary as above)
"Disney View" feature (fills otherwise dark edges of the screen with custom paintings by Toby Bluth)

I expect Zavvi Steelbook to be the same only 1 Disc but we wont know for sure if it does contain the second disc until someone gets delivery and the steelbook is opened to see if its 1 or 2 discs
I would not get your hopes up as I expect it will only be a 1 Disc Release

Zavvi have confirmed to me that this is definitely the one disc version. I've ordered the two disc Blu-ray version now as well
Don't trust Zavvi customer service for number of discs information
They would have only looked at the listing on their website and see it listed as 1 disc
There is a lot of releases on zavvi were the listing says 1 disc but is in fact 2 discs
Pinocchio is most likely only going to be 1 Disc release but the only way any of us will know 100% for sure is when one of us gets delivery and opens the steelbook
The only previous release with all the extras is Pinocchio - 3-Disc Platinum Edition UK Blu-ray
(2 Blu-ray Discs and 1 DVD Disc )and can be got for a reasonable price
The USA 2 Disc Blu-ray version is available but its very expensive
The Re-release from 2012 is only 1 disc and has a printing error listing the extras from the second disc Blu-ray but those extras are not actually in that release
