I said it from the start that this will be embossed. I'd say there might be a few more like this in this wave yet. Can't wait for mine to arrive.

The black bottom itself looks like a camouflage slip attached to the Steelbook due to coloration. Glossy finish would have made this Steelbook shine.

TBH I'm not impressed with the steel, I think its boring and Platoon is my fav film after Star Wars. Something just not right about it. Inside pictures make no sense either...why Lt Wolfe????

Inside artwork should be Elias not Wolfe
Text on rear
rear artwork sucks
Front artworks great...except they've used the wrong colour as its an old design. It should be more brown than grey.
Elias shouldnt be centre. Varying versions of this poster with Elias in different positions inc centre but I think off centre looks best

I actualy think copying the Soundtrack CD would be a great improvement, some white to lighten the image, text on the dogtags and the hanging peace sign:

TBH though I'd be happy with original artwork which is the picture itself



IMHO:

Front - The CD cover version, embossed name, embossed borders, embossed peace sign
Rear - plain colour to match the front, no text except 'The first casualty of war is innoncence' (pref debossed though unlikely)
inside - Elias on left, Barnes on right
Disc - Plain black with dogtags on and a better transfer!!!

EDIT - No, chnaged my mind, the poster version would be best as its nice and simple

Last time I checked this was a war film, so I think the colours suit the content perfectly. If you want happy and bright go and buy a Pixar film
