Play.com SuperPoints! IMPORTANT INFO!

For those of you who pre-ordered steelbooks before they introduced SuperPoints - You're going to miss out.

In order to obtain the SuperPoints you're going to have to cancel your exsisting pre-orders and then re-order everything.

I've already missed out SuperPoints on Shooter & Saving Private Ryan - I wanted to make sure nobody else did either, especially with the amount of steelbooks that I've got on order.

P.S. be careful not to cancel any orders for Steelbooks that are OOS e.g. play.com Terminator Steelbook - Then you're really going to be screwed haha.

I contacted play.com before Shooter and Saving Private Ryan were dispatched, and guess what - they failed to add the points on... Sometimes you just have to do it yourself.

SuperPoints - Taken from play.com site: You will earn one SuperPoint for every £1 spent. One SuperPoint is then worth 1p to spend on products across the website.

With the amount of Pre-orders I've got i've already got £3 worth of points.

I'd contact play.com ASAP in that case.

defintely contact play asap. sometimes security certicates of websites and other things are breached and your linked credit card can be swiped. happens frequently with big payment process. stay vigilent in monitoring your credit card statements and account activity at retailers.

Just been on the phone and spoke to yet another clueless customer service rep. Going to send screenshots of the superpoints page by email. Also,the page only displays the orders that were placed in the past 10 days or so. Shouldn't it consider the orders placed before that?

It's the same as any rewards scheme. It's better than nothing and you don't have to do anything to get or use the points, so I welcome this feature. One more small reason to use Play.com over the other retailers.

Nope, you just have to contact them and give them your order number
and they will add them manually. I asked the same question on play's facebook site. Of course, only for the steelbooks which dispatched after the super points programme was introduced.

Not exactly. With the Paramount Steelbooks at £10.99 a pop, they've still got to run a group buy for one hundred members just to pay for one copy for themselves. I don't think we're going to see a sudden surge of group buys any time soon

Maybe they should backdate the SuperPoints so we can earn them on all previous purchases. I reckon that would get me a couple of free Steelbooks

Well when I contacted Play about this a few day ago (Do I have to reorder my current preorders to get Superpoints?) they sent me this reply:

Hi. Either that, or... when the orders have been dispatched, give @PlaycomHelp a shout and they'll apply the points manually.

Then, the next day I had this direct from @PlaycomHelp:

Hi, You should gain the SuperPoints when your Pre-order is processed, should payment not yet be taken.
