It's Disney. They've never in the history of home video releases made a collection that is consistent in terms of layout and artwork (or content). Just the fact that they've released 20 steelbooks in this collection is amazing.

It's funny though how they've brought Pinocchio out without a border then go back to the border design then do the same with The Aristocats.

I really thought it depended on what year the films came out.

I hope they don't make the rest border designs. I'd rather have cleaner looking ones like Pinocchio

There's no hard and fast rule - it seems pretty random! Sometimes they are up for weeks, even months, without the actual title being announced (they just list the collection number and a ?). Other times, they announce something and it goes live almost immediately. Best thing is to always keep a watch out via this forum - I've always found it the best way of keeping advised of when something goes live and when it is going to be released.

If you want a distraction, take a look at the low res Disney logo on the Aladdin steelbook. Now Pochahontas looks fine, doesn't she, even without the stomach?

to make the title 'Pocahontas' stand out more. the text and her clothing are around the same colour, so if they just placed the text over the clothes it would be difficult to read.

You're confusing this with Mulancohontas.

Both Mulan and Pocahontas releases in the US had part 1 & 2 on the same disc. I too find it lame to even consider this and others like the Rescuers as it is a downgrade in content. If anything, I'd just be interested in the case.

Considering how impressively bad Mulan 2 and Pocahontas 2 are, I'd say it's a privilege not to have them included.
