Zavvi are doing themselves no favours releasing everything in October. People only have so much income they can spend in a month on steelbooks, I have 8 steelbooks on pre-order for October (out of 27 UK releases) and that's about as many as I am prepared to buy in a calendar month so the rest just won't be ordered by me. I'm sure lots of others are in a similar situation.

Maybe Zavvi got the Mayan Calendar wrong and think the world will end in December this year so want to get rid of everything now!

Matte finish? No sale. I'll wait till this hits £9.99 or less.

At least it's not black, I suppose that's something. I'll only now be ordering catalogue titles at £14.99 if I think they will sell out (as I've just done with City of God, but will cancel if it doesn't).

Otherwise I'll wait for a drop, they are just not worth £14.99.

I never noticed this before, but Zavvi are now stating:

Damn. I was hoping it was going to have the same finish as Argo and The Town.

Well, looks like Warner is going back to normal.

I'm doing pretty much the same thing. I'll be keeping my pre-orders for Paramount titles though, as we can be pretty sure we'll get a quality Steelbook, even if it has a matte finish.

Will wait and see the final product, love the film though and need the blu-ray so I may well purchase this one. I like the artwork and overall look of it. Embossing should look cool with that font I reckon.

I'd love a steel for this film, but I already have the amaray. Plus I think it's a little disappointing. I love the artwork choice, but the colour is a bit baffling and I don't like the printed text at the bottom on the back. Sadly not enough to make me double dip :(
