I'm still waiting on my copy to be dispatched by amazon.it. What I can say, however, is that this title is being released by 01 Distribution, Italy. Previous Steelbook releases by them include "Rush" and "The Wolf of Wall Street" both of which I own. Both of those titles are standard G2 size. "Pompeii" will be the same.

Me too! My copy has shipped and I'm holding my breath in anticipation as to what I'm going to receive.

Oh my God it's horrible. For all the times people give out about the 3D on the cover, I'd rather have it say 'Pompeii 3D' then have a random '3D Blu Ray' and Blu Ray logo floating in a random part of the cover. Makes it look like a bootleg IMO. 
Well since it looks like the only steelbook we're getting of it, looks like beggars can't be choicers.
Paint scratch in the bottom of the left corner of the front.
I'm sending it back to amazon.it and asked a refund...
I will wait a price drop or another release...
My copy hasn't turned up yet. For some reason Amazon Italy is very very slow to reach me. Usually 5 to 7 days.
My copy arrived half an hour ago. More than happy with it. No damage and a way better steelbook that I was expecting.

In case it hasn't been mentioned, the set consists of 2 discs, blu-ray only. One disc 2D, the other 3D. It contains only two audio tracks both dTS HD and 5.1 Italian and English. Subtitles only in Italian which is off by default so you don't have to switch them off. The audio has to be done on the menu of your blu-ray disc. You can't change it on the player itself.

There is no inside art work. Also the film version is the Italian one complete with all opening and closing credits in Italian. So it's not an English film with an Italian soundtrack but an Italian film with a separate English soundtrack.
