Maybe it's because you are a non-UK customer? Did you order in Euros or Pounds? If the former maybe they've altered it due to a fluctuation in the exchange rate? Whatever the reason it's not acceptable, I would get onto them straight away.

I just checked my preorders with Amazon there and all my orders from this wave have risen from £11.20 to £11.48???

Not much I know, but when you've ordered in bulk they all add up. In my original confirmation e-mail it says £11.20. I didn't think the price could change once you've ordered them? What's this about? Has this happened to anyone else?
our vat rate is higher than the uk)
amazon uk charges different vat rates when shipping to various E.U countries

Thanks for the replies guys. I'll shoot them an email tomorrow and let them know anyway. I'd have thought the price shouldn't change in your preorder list. Especially when I have an order confirmation email that says otherwise.

I don't agree with that either. How come if we order from a site on the other side of the Atlantic we don't get any TAX breaks?? Should be the same for all.

You guys indeed get fat tax breaks as the tax rate here is 20% but same doesn't apply with Amazon.com. They charge the price listed on their website plus charge more for shipping to the UK. If the items total is above 15 GBP you will have to pay 20% tax on the grand total plus 8 GBP as handling fee to Royal Mail. Amazon.co.uk charges just 8 GBP for 5 items whereas Amazon.com charges $20 (14 GBP).

This means if I order a $22 movie at Amazon.com, I will end up paying $46.8.

$22 - items total
$7 - shipping
$29 - grand total
$5.8 - tax
$12 - handling fee

Say if you were to Order something for 14 GBP at amazon.co.uk, you pay just 14.75 GBP including shipping to the US.

On top of this. UK sites like Zavvi offer low cost shipping. Tell me one US retailer offering International shipping on exclusive Steelbooks.

Keeping these in mind, we have every right to get frustrated.

So you have to pay Tax at Amazon.com? I don't even pay tax at amazon.com.

I can't speak to the difference in ship cost, although our USPS shipping did almost double in price since the end of Jan.

As for the steelbook.. I just placed an order for other things at amazon.co.uk and discovered that this is sold out there.

No, we don't but we get charged the price listed on the website but never less. Amazon.com's shipping charge are almost double that of Amazon.co.uk price. I still don't know how Amazon.co.uk offers such a low shipping rate to importers. Are you guys paying 20% tax like us in the UK? What is the import limit for you guys?

Even more will Best Buy or Target or Walmart ever ship to the UK?

No. Our sales Tax is 5.5% here in my state/county. But we don't have to pay tax on items ordered out of state. (unless business has a shop in state).

I'm not sure what the import duty amount is, but it's gotta be over 100$. I've ordered well over that before and not gotten hit with any import fees.

I doubt BBY/Target/Walmart will ever ship overseas.

Hope you don't regret it:eek:

firefly, robocop both look gd I've ordered two of these 1 to open 1 to not i'm looking forward to these not much interest in the others tho.

As Firefly, Robocop and Platoon all have dull boring matt finishes, the only thing that can stop Preadator 2 from being ass also is Embossing on a great design/artwork like Robocop.

ofc looking at the duck-billed-platypus art for this - does not fill me with much confidence :hilarious: and now that we know this will probly have a basic finish, i doubt even embossing can save it.

So,

:snipe:
