He's to biased to 4K format to give proper reviews
I would never use Youtube reviews most are click bate

Brastax is to biased to 4K to give proper reviews
In his opinion 4k/ HDR pq should be obvious to most people

Reality is not all 4K releases is better than standard 1080p Blu-ray in terms of picture quality

Don't go by reviews done by others as your TV/Sound Setup may be lot different to theirs
Some reviewers are biased to a distributor or format and give misleading reviews

Go by what image/sound you see on a TV or Projector- Sound setup not what others tell you
Paul, you missed the part where he only buys if it's worthwhile to upgrade... your message is geared towards someone who actually has the disc!
And while I'm at it I disagree with you on this, strongly.
4k picture quality is obvious (99% of the time, I'll give you 1% where something can go wrong in the whole process) if the screen is big enough and you sit close enough. And it just is, don't fight it. You're clutching at straws with the BD picture quality vs 4k. I'm not saying BD is bad, but it's just not possible that it's better than 4k, period. Same way as you wouldn't want to watch this on VHS vs BD.

I have 58 inch 4k TV and 4k projector and I can tell that more than 50 % of the time there is very little difference between a 4k disc and a Blu-ray upconverted to 4k.

Well I can tell there's a difference. Are you right? Am I?
If this illustrates anything it's that 4k is likely the most we need.

I am going to make it worse....
I think one of the reasons there are not that many movies which have a 4K DI, but a 2K DI, is because of the VFX purely done for 3D, which is only 1080p. Kill 3D and we can make more progress.

I viewed the 4k disc on a mates machine (haven't upgraded yet). It's awesome. Sadly reviewing the blu-ray did not elate the same response. The blu-ray is complete and utter ****. Don't even waste your time playing it.

If you don't like this steelbook - and strangely enough there are some that don't - and you aren't 4K ready yet (and don't plan to be in the immediate future) - then this is a pointless release as you will no doubt already have the UHE disc in one or other of the various previous steelbook and Amaray releases.

New Zavvi steelbook release ------------------------------ and for example, the Ultimate Hunter Edition included in the previous 3D/2D Amaray (and steelbook) release (from 2010 onwards . . . original disc in the 2008 UK release):-

Cineastes like to diss the UHE disc for being scrubbed to within an inch of its life . . . but I personally wouldn't take that approach.
Comparison pics between the 2008 UK PREDATOR release and subsequent releases:-

Got mine in the mail today!
Love it. Love the design, love the film, and I love that this is the edition I was able to snag for this- since the only other options seemed less than interested. xD

Although I love that lenticular that colors the heat-seeking vision of the Predator. Unfortunately, that edition also has the "3D" logo on it.

well i couldn’t agree more with you, UHD is the new beast, each of every viewer has their own opinion and each also has different system which would give the different PQ, but i can tell you that per my viewing Predator UHD, is by far the best way to view this at home, the grain, details, color tone, HDR, they’re just perfect, you can’t compare with previous blu-ray releases at all, which both suffered from different issues (first one for compression / low bit rate while the Ultimate Hunter Edition suffered from severe DNR)

I watched this in 3D the other night and was actually surprised at the transfer (admittedly there were a few moments it wasn't particularly good), so based on this, I certainly don't feel the need to pay out again for 4K

You might change your mind if you seen it in 4K, I have to say it's the best it's ever looked!
Definitely worth the upgrade.

A lot of consumers don't have 4K TV's or 4K UHD Blu-ray players ;)
Some who even have 4K tv's don't purchase 4K UHD discs

Some who have purchased this don't have 4K setup the 4K UHD won't be watched by some until these consumers have upgraded their TV and Players

This 4K remaster yes is better than previous 2D/3D releases going by what I seen so far
Consumers though can purchase in a few years time a 4K UHD disc of predator and will cost less than it does now

I have the 3D release it looks good on my 3D plasma TV
3D Disc is better than the UHE disc

I'm getting this Steelbook from black barons but not the 4K UHD Disc as I won't be upgrading to a 4K TV or 4K projector for a few years yet

Fox though IMO should have included a 1080p Blu-ray using the new 4K remaster scan they used for the UHD release instead of putting the older UHE disc in the steelbook and Amaray editions

That way all could have watch the film remastered

Not for 25 quid it isn't, when I've only just watched this again - have enough films I still need to get through

May be if it ever ends up in a bargain bucket in a couple of year's I might, or just wait for 8K!!

I bought the trilogy for £31.49, that's £10.50 each which I don't think is to bad at all for three 4K films!
