The E3 slip is a monstrosity. A Frankenstein monster, but without the ability to elicit any sympathy. It's embossing on steriods.

Glad I went for E1 not a huge fan of the E3 on this occasion quick point is there even a protective cover to put this in as it looks quite thick

Sorry cooey! No one sane would do that trade.

I actually would have preferred the artwork on the E3, but I knew I wouldn't like the finishing. It was already pretty bad on Covenant imo!

All I saw was E3 + UHD and presumed it would be similar to the likes of Blade Runner 2049.

The question was asked a few times in the thread whether they would be doing this again with the slips and it went unanswered.

I won't be making that mistake again

But the truth is i wasn´t expecting much better, just a little bit maybe , i knew it would be at least as bad as the covenant one. So no surprise there for me.

I have the embossed Alien Covenant E3 and I am very happy with it. I love the artwork they used on that one to use for the embossing, but this just feels like they have gone a little too far. Not a fan at all, neither of the artwork how how much it has been embossed by.

Happy to stick with a Prometheus UNnumbered edition because lets be honest, the film itself wasn't that great, and while the WEA steelbook is certainly the best looking one for this film that I have seen, the E3 slip is not a looker. lol

E3 has been known would be 3D Embossed Slip when first listed on Film Arena website and even before the GB was live

I don't see how anyone could have not known it was going to be like E3 Alien Covenant 3D embossed slip

Beauty Shots was posted in thread July 15th and clearly listed E3 was 3D embossed slip which meant it would be similar to E3 Alien Covenant

My only quibble was been XL size it was obvious it was going to be lot bigger than previous E3 3D Embossed slip for Alien Covenant which was bigger as well than standard slips due to the 3D embossing and that's why I would have preferred none of the editions was XL size

The title on this 3D embossed of E3 Prometheus slip IMO I would have liked if it has less depth as the E3 3D embossing on Alien Covenant is less on the title and don't stand out as much as it does on E3 Prometheus slip

I like E3 3D embossed slip for Alien Covenant and I'm still glad I purchased E3 for Prometheus but I would have preferred none of them was XL size

Most are not surprised by the fact that it's embossed (maybe except @cooey ). It's the prominence of the embossing that's their issue. It's way out there

My only real issue with the final product is that it is indeed a little too much pop, I would've preferred it be the same 3D thickness as Covenant. And I suppose dreaming of what could've been, the mural from Prometheus would've been a much better artwork choice and would've matched the Covenant slip perfectly but oh well, can't change that.

Unlike you I really love my E3 edition of Covenant.

If you didn't like the embossing treatment on Covenant's E3, imagine that, but 10x worse lol. Therein lies your answer
