Got my lenticular in today and it's beautiful. I really like the texture of the slipbox, with the side being like a rough stone feel to it and the back being as smooth as glass. Really like the lenticular too. I have the old UK steelbook but this one is just so shiny and vibrant it easily beats it. And in terms of content, I love all the new content on the 2nd disc of features. Really has everything included.

It definitely has a nice weight to it. I only have two complaints: It really should have had the "10¢" label on there since it is replicating a magazine cover, and it's easy to see just how muted the colors are when you see it in the pleasantly vibrant 1/4 slip. I wish it popped a bit more like that. When you see them together it makes it looked as though the Steel has the dull finish of a lot of the past Best Buy Steelbooks. But if I just tell myself it's on purpose to make it feel more vintage then I'm slightly sated. Either way, I still don't regret my purchase, but because of this I might have gone for one of the slips (which is rare for me).

My copy arrived today, looking forward to seeing it when I get home. I LOL'd when I watched an unboxing of the 1 click and it had the 10c on the poster but it's obviously missing from the steelbook, would be really interested in finding out why the steelbook didn't have it....

Wonder if someone could do a run of 10c stickers for our steelbooks?

I love receiving packages from Novamedia
You receive a non damaged package and when you open it you only see bubble wrap. Bubble wrap and bubble warp. When you start unwrapping you’re busy for several minutes  In the end you have a great one click and meters and meters of bubble wrap!

My compliments Novamedia

the 1/4 slip is so nice

I agree, but @GeekSexy is completely right, too:

Yeah, nice strong box as well. Never had any damaged parcels from Nova Manta. Both have similar style packaging.

:cautious: I'd slice between the booklet and the slip, don't want to catch the steel by accident!
Depends where the sealing line is tbh. It sounds usually more central.

Plus knowing most steels are sealed separately then the entire package sealed again, AND the fact I use one of my own nails(sharp enough to cut through with several slices up/down, but blunt enough to leave no marks on the steel wrapping to cut a small gap to get a finger in and tear down the seal manually.
I also have damn steady day hands too :)

I’ve yet to have an issue this way, yet, but am also willing to accept the risk and flaw if/when it does go wrong.

Same sentiments as me.

So much so, the play.com steel is now on

My copy arrived in Canada on May 3rd and was "sent for further processing." 7 days already. Come on Customs give it up already!

Received mine the other day and it’s as lovely as I hoped it would be!

The only issue is the shrink seemed to have pulled some of the paint off the spin title. Would you guys ask for a replacement or do you think it’s worth just keeping? If I remember correctly NOVA don’t seem to replace stuff until you place another order with them. So unsure what to do on this.

It depends how much it bothers you, I would ask for a replacement myself. Yes they usually do ship items with another order.
