To be fair, the gloss looks way better than the previous photos have shown off, and the black is a nice shade. The front is a bit boring but it's not bad, much better than ID4.

You HAVE to choose your language in the welcome screen otherwise no option to change once you get to the main screen. I've tested it and it does play in Spanish language etc

Hmm I can't really tell if this is a nice looking steel or not, it certainly looks "different". Just think it looks a bit basic, will still probably end up buying though :p

Yes, Studio canal releases are 99.99% Region locked. They locked even the titles acquired from Miramax which were Region free.

Studio Canal do not decide whether to lock titles or not. They acquire rights to release the film within a region (in this case Europe). They cannot release region 'free' titles if they do not have the rights to release outside of Europe. Similarly, Criterion Collection are locked to Region A, even for Warner titles. This is due to only having the rights to release in the US and not Europe too, which would be required in order for it not to be "locked" (although technically region "free" blu rays are in fact "locked" to regions A, B and C).

I think this Steelbook will look awesome as hell so it will be okay even if you can't watch the movie. And actually the price is not very high.
